Stumbled onto this dive shop as it was the first one we saw when arriving at Unawattatuna. Yet we didn't need to look any further. The team is very professional, friendly and flexible to your needs. A special thanks go to the dive masters! The dive sites were great - Tango shipwreck, Gala pita gala. We saw so much interesting aquatic life - lion fish, stingray, lobster, marlu fish, etc.
And to top it off, there's a great restaurant right next door.
Excellent place hope to dive with you again on my return to Sri Lanka.

Thank Gita J

Rohana and his team are friendly, flexible, professional and will make sure you have a great time. I have dived with them since 2009 and happily return each time. They know the fish by name, are flexible with fun divers and students, have decades of experience, well-maintained gear and just take the extra time to offer no-pressure, relaxed, good diving. Unawatuna offers the best diving in the area and there are at least 4 sites worth a look. The Tango is unmissable on a good day.

My partner and I arrived in Unawatuna with the intention of relaxing, diving, eating and drinking. On the first day we went walking to the beach looking to catch some rays. On the way we walked past Rohana's dive shop. We decided on impulse to walk in and ask him about what he has to offer. Rohana immediately made us feel very welcome and showed us his large wall map of his dive sites. He speaks very understandable English and is very polite. We organised 2 dives for the next day. In the morning we returned and Rohana's excellent crew had all our gear ready to go, all we had to do was make sure the fins fit. We were taken to the boat by tuktuk where we had to help push the boat off the beach in to the water which was a fun experience to share with the awesome crew. The boat trip out to the first dive site was comfortable. The crew helps getting the gear on, they hand you your items, the hold the BCD for you to slip in to, its all very very easy. Our first dive was on an early 1800's wreck, the water was warm, the vis was great, the dive was extremely easy going. The wildlife was excellent. The instructors are amazingly good at finding the most amazing things to look at. They will see a tiny stone fish from metres away and make sure you get to see it. They will get your attention whenever there is something interesting to look at. After our air started running low we headed up to our safety stop and then surfaced. The skipper brought the boat close to us so we didn't have to swim far. We returned to Rohana and he was eager to make sure we were pleased with our experience. We then went and had lunch on the beach for an hour and a half or so before returning to Sea Horse for our second dive of the day. In 8 days we did 8 dives with Rohana and his team. Nothing could possible have been easier or more enjoyable.
We would like to thank Rohana and his crew for an amazing 8 days of diving.
We also asked Rohana where we should have lunch, he said "Next door!" (Surf City Black and White restaurant) Next door was one of the best places we had rice and curry.

Thank you Rohana and your crew

Amazing diving, I dive with him and his team all the time on the shipwrecks and corals. Rohana and his team are extremely friendly and professional. Rohana is the PADI instuctor, best in the area with the most experienced as he is from Unawatuna and been diving 21years here. Can not recommend him highly enough. Thank you for all the wonderful dives. Back again for another season!

A friend and I did our PADI Open Water Course with the Sea Horse Divers in January. The owner and dive instructor Rohanna is a very warm hearted and professional Sri Lankan. He has a great crew, very competent and funny. In this course we were just three students and Rohanna explained everything comprehensible and extensive. The equipment is very good and we felt safe at all time. We had a great time there and I would recommend it to everyone who visits Unawatuna! Thank you for the great time!
