Located right on the beach this guesthouse is perfectly located. Breakfast are taken on the beach, in front of the sea. Rooms are average and bathroom could be cleaner. But staff amability and hotel good location worth it.

The sea view is in a great spot, right beside the beach. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The hotel is a little tired. Needs some maintenance. The room was tidy. A/C was working well. We had to ask for sheets. The towels were a decent size. The shower was not great. Water pressure was bad on most days. The water was hot. The restaurant was basic. Food was ok. Service was at times a little slow. Beware Saturday evening is music night. From 6pm until 3, 4 am. The music was terrible, a thumping noise that vibrated through the whole building. Staff were polite. A tuk tuk to Galle fort cost 350 to 500 depending on driver. Oh room 9 key can unlock the room next door be careful. Over all stay was ok the main advantage is the beach.

Room Tip: Room 9 had good A/C

We stayed here for 1 night in a family room as we were 4 friends. This guest house was very nice, clean and just next to sea beach, sea was seen from our balcony. Hotel staffs are really nice, helpful and innocent enough. They were helpful. Food was not so nice as we had breakfast following morning. We change this hotel because WiFi was not working and was high price.

Room Tip: Ask room number 4. As this room is just next to sea beach and can see sea from balcony. If you have...

We arrived the hotel and given at the top room that has sea view which was great so far. However, we spotted 2 big centipede in the toilet later that evening and asked to change the room as we were not comfortable what might crawling to our bed in the middle of the night. After more than 30 minutes on contacting the room service, we were switched to bottom room but the a/c wasn't working and we changed to another room. The room looks dark, the hot water was not working and there is no bed sheet on the mattress. We had no choice as it was really late at night to change different hotel.

The next morning, the hotel gave us discount for the smaller room.

We think the hotel can do room maintenance and better service to give comfort for customers.

We came to this hotel because the owner of the previous place we stayed at contacted this hotel and we got a big discount, compared to the other reviews here at least. The room and balcony smelled and looked clean when we entered, the staff are helpful and friendly and like said before, right on the beach. Hot water, wifi and A/C worked perfectly. For the price we payed it was à good deal, although I'm not sure about my recommendations for the standard price. Best shop around à bit.

Our room floor felt sticky, a/c wasn't working properly in the afternoon (and then got too cold at night! - blanket provided was more like an extra layer of bedsheet), toilet wasn't very clean and the water pressure was terrible. Perhaps we were unlucky as our friends staying in the room next to ours didn't have the same problem with the floor and a/c.

There seemed to be a problem with the electricity supply during the night, as the lights would occassionally become dim, and then brighten up again. The reception was across the road and it was a little difficult to get staff's attention or help. There are many other B&Bs and hotels on this stretch of road on Unawatuna Beach, would recommend checking out the rest instead.
