We stayed there two nights. The Lodge is located near the Murchison Falls N.P outside the park gate about 10 minutes drive. The place is owned by Italian family and during our stay we hosted by Nicoletta and Davide her son. The Lodge bandas are separate, each from another, providing both privacy and comfort.. The food is purely Italian cuisine accompanied by wonderful desserts by Nicolette's handiwork. You can fill the Italian hand that decorated the banda and the bathroom. At the Reception room you can charge batteries and phones. It's a place to stay more then two days.

Rooms were clean, we liked the solar power. Shower was great! And the food... Excellent! Overall we enjoyed it a lot. I recommend going out on one of their early morning drives, guides are very knowledgeable about the animals. Overall it was a nice place to stay! Good option for murchison!!

I stayed here for two nights on a filming trip and was extremely impressed with everything from the staff to the banda's. The banda's are spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was powerful and hot despite being powered purely by gravity and heated by sunshine. Perhaps the most impressive factor is the eco design, everything is solar powered including the motion sensor lights that guide you back to your banda, no easy feat and all the brain power of the two italian owners. The food as you may imagine from Italian owners is several notches above your average lodge meals and with mum in the kitchen, the two owners were kind enough to sit with me and keep me company during dinner as i was travelling alone. All in all it's a different experience to your average lodge, and a very worthwhile one.

If you are traveling to Murchison, I would highly recommend this lodge. It is located very close to the park entrance on the north side of the Park, which is the part of the park that has the most animals. Most lodges in Murchison are on the south side and you have to line up in the morning to take the ferry across the Nile to reach the northern side of the park. The bungalows are wonderful, absolutely immaculate and with wonderful views of the Nile. The food could not be beat, as it was homemade delicious Italian food! Lastly, the service was great. We will be back!

The Bwana Tambo Safari Camp is brand new, with and ecological foot print and italian owned.
The fact that is new has the advantage that the bandas (little cottages) are perfectly mantained, fully furnished and super clean, the disvantage is that the garden has still to grow. The ecological foot print is due the fact that the place is completely solar powered. It's italian owned and this means that the food is perfect!!
The Bwana Tambo has a wonderfull view on the nile, is placed near the north entrance of the Murchinson falls national Park and the owners have a tour company aswell.
The staff is very helpfull and kind...this is the perfect place where to stay!!
