We visited this national park for 3 days after a prepaid contract with Prime Safaris. Their driver/guide picked us up at 8 AM at Kampala's Holiday Express Hotel, then drove 7 hours north to Twiga Tales Lodge. With the park's Tangi Gate less then 2 miles away, we had quick access for multiple game drives in the morning and evenings and an afternoon Nile cruise to Murchison Falls.
Its a good park with rich grasslands to see antelope herds of oribi, kob and Jackson's hartebeest, as well as Cape buffalo, elephants along with approximately 800 of the endangered giraffes. Beautiful birds were easily spotted along with baboons, wart hogs, and hippos.
Departing at 7 AM, our cautious and skilled driver was able to get us to Entebbe's Phenicia Motel before 3:30 PM to prepare for our flight out the next day.
We felt this was a tiring but very worthwhile adventure and a privilege to see these wild animals.More
