I spend a weekend with some friends at the beautiful Tembo Kijani. We went to safari in Saadani with the owner of Tembo Kijani. It was amazing! We saw a lot of different animals and had a great day. Tembo Kijani has incredible food, is it the best food I have tasted in Tanzania so far. It is the perfect place to rest and get away for some days. Waking up in the morning with the birds singing right next to you, and going to bed with the sound of the bush babyes. It is just perfect! It is beautiful nature around the place, and the most perfect beach. I would really recommend this place, and I’m definitely going back.

Room Tip: I recommend the tree house. It is different than everything else.

I say this as a resident. Tembo Kijani really does serve up the very best western-style food I've had in the country. Think warm passion fruit crumble with home made mango ice cream and a sesame crisp in the shape of an elephant! Seriously. Amazing value when you consider it. Eyal and Sarah are gracious, fun and warm hosts who are only too happy to share all the remarkable eco-credentials of their place. There are a lot of places out there that tout their eco cred, but these guys really have gone the extra mile. A nice beach, lovely rooms, great hosts, fantastic food.

Room Tip: Loved the features of the bush bandas, but we had a good number of mosquitos. I'm guessing the c...

Dear Jamie,
These days we place some incense in each room that keeps away the moscitoes during dinner time so that when it's time to go to sleep, they are gone and won't come back. So next time you will be able to sleep with only the sound of the waves and not with the noise of the moscitoes :)

We were on a honeymoon vacation.
After an incredible Safari in Arusha we flew in to Pangani on our way to a week of relaxation in Tembo Kijani.
Our stay in Tembo was amazing, the place is isolated with it's own private beach, no one but fisherman in sight (Dinners come with the fisherman :) ).
It is really a homie place, the family that runs it are super nice, and Yoyo, the chef, well, let's say it was the best food we had during our 3.5 week vacation in Tanzania, fantastic, freshly made and absolutely more than enough.
The rooms are great, sleeping in the open bungalow was a first for us but it is truly unique, a special wild feeling, and it was very comfortable.
We came back thrilled and told all our friends about it.
I would recommend this place to anyone.

Our stay at Tembo Kijani was great. It was so relaxing. The food was amazing! We stayed at the beach, witch was nice. We got to order drinks and had a really good time. The owners were so nice and helpfull. The rooms were like living in the nature, you could hear the bird's and the monky's.

Recommended by the author of a (German) guide we happened to book a three nights' stay at Tembo Kijani. What we found there was a really beautiful place, remote, silent, green and - best of all - eco friendly. We slept at a bungalow close to the water front, enjoyed the beach (which we had completely to ourselfes) and loved the meals of the German chef Yoyo. Especially the hospitality of Sandra and Eyal, their willingness to share thoughts and experiences in eco-friendlyness, along with the service of their staff made this stay an unforgettable experience. The safaris were great: we loved the giraffes at Sardaani National Park, enjoyed the water safari where we spotted many hippos and the walking safari brought unexpected insights on Tanzania and its people.
Thank you all at Tembo Kijani for this extraordinary stay, we wish you all the best for your lodge and we are sending greetings for your little african princess all the way from Austria!

Our stay at Ecolodge was really nice!
We stayed in a very nice bungalow right out in the bush, it was an amazing feeling.
Sarah was very good as a host, and took well care of us!
The food was amazing, the best we have had in Tanzania, and we have lived here for 2 months now.
Everybody that worked there were very friendly, and made our stay very nice!
Me and my fiance would really recomend Tembo Kijani ecolodge!

We had 3 wonderful days at Tembo Kijani. The owners, the safari, the lodges, the beach, the ocean and of course the food were amazing. You live close by the nature and the place is by far one of my favorite places so far. We had a fantastic safari and were guided by both Sarah and Eyal. They are amazing people and I love how passionate they are about their vision of an eco-friendly place and their love for nature as it is. This is a place for relaxing and the beach, not far from the lodges, is lovely!
