We had a fun time there. Excellent services great time
The place is quite relaxing and very reasonable as well. We did a little bit of Kayaking but other activities were slightly expensive. The beach was good and we camped there so it was lot more fun

Resort is nice, clean and we always felt save there. The huts are simple, we had a one without ac and with shared bathroom. This was okay, the hut was big enough and close to beach. Bathroom was clean, always toiletpaper, not always soap or just soap mixed with water, but also this was okay. A big thing is that the water is so salty that it is not possible to brush teeths.. So you always need to take your own water with you.
Food was very tasty but prices are expensiv, also for the hut the price was high. The thing is that there is nothing around, so you have to drink and eat there the hole day. Usually Tanzania has cheaper prices, I know because I lived there, but well.
The staff was friendly and always around.
Beach and Ocean are okay, mayby it wasnt the perfect season. If you look for lonley beach you are right. But not like zanzibar-beaches it means no white sand and clear water, but thats all over on this coast.
Another problem is to drive to there. From moshi the way is long and not comfortable. You need to go by bus than change bus at central bus Station into daladala, than from marketplace to ferry and from there with another Daladala, so you need one day. We decided to take the bus from moshi to central busstation and than private taxi sendet from beach crab. When we arrived there where many drivers and we didnt know which one is the right man, so we had to call beach crab. It would be better to give the driver a paper with our names. For the way back we decided to take a privat jet from Beach crab to moshi, they told us that this is no problem but on the next day they had still no answer from the charter flight company, so we waited some days and everyday the staff told us no worry sometimes they need some time to answer. One day before our last day we asked again and the staff told us that isnt possible to fly back... So we had to take Taxi and Bus again. Our driver couldnt speak english and also in Swahili it wasnt easy, he brough us to the wrong point, there was no busstation, to come to the centralbusstation we had to pay more than settled. So our holiday was a bit stressful...
For complete Beach crab was okay and nice, but if I would choose again, I would take my money and fly directly to zanzibar, but if you prefer to stay at the coast it is a good Place, just a bit expensiv.

Nice accomodation with well situated bandas, cottages designed with all local available wood and thatches, room design allows proper wind circulation, fan or AC not necessary.

Food was not well prepared to suit our taste for the first night.
After we communicated our taste of food, the hosts ensured they provided us with prepared especially for us..
The hosts Sonja and Alex were so keen to make our stay enjoyable, they went out of their way to prepare to make separate food arrangement for kids and toddlers,

Room Tip: Well located, peaceful stay,

The beach crab resort is a very nice and relaxing place. The beach huts are basic but exactly what you need. The view on the beach and the see are fantastic. there is a very nice restaurant at the resort. The staff and the owners are very friendly and helpful, they really want you to have a relaxing and good time at their place. I would definitely recommend people to go her.

One small side note, getting there and away is very expensive. We came with a bus from Tanga to Pangani and had to take a taxi from Pangani to the resort ( $25). There was no other transport possible. Als getting away was very expensive, there is no transport to the south. We had two options, same road back to Tanga (6hours) and then go south, or taking a private boat to Zanzibar. We took the boat but that costed $140. It was the money worth to get to the resort but take it into account in your budget (especially budget travelers).

We are a family of three and spent three enjoyable nights at Beach Crab Resort in the coconut bungalows. The beach was lovely, the meals very good, the managers friendly and responsive. We enjoyed hanging out on the elevated sitting area (we dubbed it the tower) with a great breeze and view of the beach. We enjoyed the foosball, pool and ping pong tables, and the snorkeling trip arranged for us. Beach Crab is just a short walk on the beach to the other Ushongo Beach resorts and a small village.
