I was there together with a tour by Riviera Holidays and at first site, was enchanted with the setting - silos, which resemble Kentish oast houses, largely in pairs around a garden site which in turn is surrounded by a flat plain of farmland containing ostrich, various antelope and scores of funny looking Cape Francolin birds which run around in flocks all over the estate. I was alotted a ground floor ensuite room in one (there was another room reached by outside stairs above me,) and it was small but attractive and most importantly, clean and insect free! However, it was very cold and the AC did little to help. The restaurant was ok, the usual buffet service from polite staff and the food was also ok, though not wonderful and quite expensive and payment via the bar could be slow. What seemed lacking was a comfortable lounge area in which to sit and chat comfortably whilst having either a coffeee or a drink. Since it was still cold at night sitting outside was not an option. Its probably more enjoyable later in the season when the weather is warmer.
