tony and Tish Coleman are a fantastic team. tony is a well renowned expert on the Boer And Zulu wars and his Battlefield Tours are amazing. Tish runs the bed and breakfast side. Accommodation is in a charming bungalow in the garden with everything you could wish for to hand. The cottage is thoroughly cleaned daily. Breakfast is taken in the main house and is a feast. If you require clean, well appointed accommodation in a good location look no further. Together with the company of this charming duo you are on to a winner.

Room Tip: Book a battlefield tour with Tony these are bespoke and are tremendous

During Nov 13 my wife and I stayed at Clivia Place for 2 nights to visit the local battlefields. Our host was Trish Coleman who made our stay exceptional in the very comfortable room and excellent breakfasts.

Her husband Anthony Coleman a registered tour guide took our group of 6 on a tour of the Isandlwana and Rorke's drift battle sites. He is an amazing guide that managed to bring the battle's to life and his exceptional knowledge of the battles made it a truly memorable experience.

I would recommend both the accommodation and Anthony as a guide to anyone that wants to learn and experience these remarkable battles and history that will inspire any guest to want to learn more about the Zulu wars and culture.

Best Regards,

Ian and Lynn Fordred

Tish and Anthony have a fantastic life! They both doing what they love. Tish runs the BnB which is clean, functional, private and cosy. Her garden is beautiful and we were told we are seeing at it's worst (winter). Will have to come back to see it at it's best, because that will be spectacular. Anthony runs the Battlescenes tours, which are exciting and moving. It ticked all our boxes and would highly recommend it.

We stayed in Dundee for a couple of days to go to see some of the battle sites. We booked Antony as our guide and it was without doubt the best day of the holiday! They sent us pre- visit reading material on Zulu war and Antony spent over an hour setting the scene the night before in his sitting room with a glass of wine. Wonderful. The cottage in the garden was well equipped, the garden lovely, breakfast was a lot of fun and delicious. Antony and tish put a lot of effort into making guests feel welcome. The guided full day was incredible. We learned so much and in the most skilled, interesting and enjoyable way. I am not really interested in battles but Antony made the sites come alive with his wonderful narrative. Sitting under a tree listening with that backdrop - wow. Tish provided a lovely picnic lunch and the day was very memorable. The highlight of our 18 day tour.

Beautiful secluded quiet place on the edge of Dundee, very good apartments in a wonderful garden, excellent host who booked our evening meal for us at the Royal County Hotel. Good for Battleground tours (host a guide). Excellent Talana museum in Dundee.
