We have just returned home from our fabulous holiday at La Pointe. We travelled with 2 children, ages 9 and 7. We love the all-inclusive aspect of Club Med, and we took full advantage of all the amazing activities available. All the GOs were excellent, especially those at the sailing/kayak side (thanks especially to Nicholas and Gael) who were patient with the kids and kept a watchful eye. Also to Adel at archery, Nick, DJ, Chayanne and co at kids club; and Brian, Stephen, David and Anoushka at water-skiing. Our cleaner Sheila took great pride in keeping our room spotless and creating a magical creature from our towels every day.
The food was also excellent - unbelievable quality for the amount of people that were catered for every day. And there was something for everyone at every meal.
My one complaint is that, although the location of our room in Fond du Sac was perfect - close to the beach and wonderful view - there was a building behind it that blasted loud music every night to the point where, on Friday night, I felt like I was in a night club. Luckily my kids were too tired to notice, but my husband and I could not sleep until I called reception to complain well after 11pm. The noise died down shortly thereafter but was back again before 07h00 on Saturday morning. So my only advice would be to not stay in Fond du Sac block.

With our son in good care with his nani ADNDJOU , my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy the beach, and free time together. The atmosphere at the club is friendly and relaxed
the staff very, very friendly and helpful, service fantasic especially SID ,STANLY & GUSTAV from public relations who made us feel like home.

The food was great, especially the yummy French Cheeses served at lunch and dinner. The tropical fruits are delicious! the meat seemed fresh and the do-it-yourself kind of salad station was fresh and nice
the room was lovely and clean. Our bed had flowers on every day after our room was cleaned. What a lovely gesture!
Had a small issue with the sink blocking but it was sorted out pronto even before we reported!

The resort is absolutely amazing and so much to do, or if it is your choice - do nothing!
However we recommend that you take part in the water sports, such fun!
If you are looking for a tropical beach holiday and you have kids, look no further
The beach is great and the pool and main area are fantastic.

I cannot think of a better holiday to relax after a tough year. We are completely "recharged" for the year ahead.We will definitely visit you again and also recommend this hotel to everybody.

We were two couples who stayed in the Belaire Block at Club Med La Pointe Aux Cannoniers, with a sea view. The unforunate thing was we had no sea view, as we looked straight into the large palm trees on the grassy area in front of our room. Never the less the rooms were spotless and clean. Always smelt fresh and you could see the cleaner took alot of pride in her job. The week at the resort was very quiet, due it being low season, so at night it was a 5 course "SET CHEF" menu. What a menu it was! The food was fabulous! Every night was a different theme and the GO's would come and join us at the tables. Needless to say we had the loudest table in the resort. We were treated so kindly by everyone! We felt like family at Club Med and really didn't want to come home after 8 nights. The night life was awesome (in JHB we go to bed early due to the rat race), but here we lived it up, dancing and socializing until early hours of the morning. How do we say thank you to everyone that made our holiday so amazing? We felt like teenagers again. We would like to thank: Gustav Louw, Martin Robert Kaparang, Piwwa Babajee, Genevieve Du four, Brendon Messop & Merlin Chelliah, Precious and Juliana! These are all staff members at Club Med that have now become our long life friends. We had such an amazing time! We would go back anytime. NOTE: This resort is for partying, socializing and making new friends. Living life like it should be lived.

From meeting us at the airport to dropping us of were exceptional. The staff is hiper friendly and efficient, food good and facilities also good. Flvia, the Resort Manager is very hands on and made a point of moving amongst theguest to find out if we were still enjoyinh our stay. Veneesha, the lady that looked after our room was so good, always smiled and asked if everything was still ok. The only downside is the noise from pool parties can be disturbing but luckily our room was far enough to not ne a nuisance.

I will go back there any day, thank you Club Med, Flavia and personnel.

We are 5 couples with kids here for the week. I write this post while I am on my stay. The kids all love it, so much to do. But as adults you have to make peace with the fact that you take pain for that.

I have been to many resorts in Mauritius and this is the worst for food and service. The food is the standard average buffet and even if you want to get into the ala carte restaurant for dinner you can't because it's only open a few nights a week and is always fully booked when you ask. You feel no personal attention what's so ever whether it be from the waiter, the bar person or any of the managers. It feels like they are just going through the motions per the club med handbook and the guest should not be allowed to deviate from that. Quite creepy actually.

For a holiday that both you and your kids will enjoy for the same price look at the beachcomber or lux hotels for similar prices.

With all of that said I have only heard good things about club med Albion. Go figure...

My dad and I went to Club Med Pointe aux Canonniers in June and had such an amazing time (we actually extended our stay by 4 days)! We have been to other Club Meds before, but this one is certainly one of the best. The GOs (the staff who run the activities and look after the guests) really make this resort. They are so friendly and do everything they can to make your stay fun and memorable. The Chief of the resort, Merlin, is a real asset. We were one of the few English speaking guests, but she made the effort to chat with us everyday and put us in touch with the other families there. She even made me a special Mauritian healing drink when I was feeling ill on evening.

The GOs run the activities very efficiently - we loved the watersports; swimming, waterpolo, pool games, waterskiing and kayaking. They are all professionally run but in a fun way for both beginners and advanced.

As always, Club Med didn't disappoint on the food! There were buffet and a la carte options at dinner. For couples, I definitely recommend the a la carte option at least once, This happens at the sea front restaurant and is beautifully decorated for a relaxed, quiet dinner.

The evening entertainment includes shows and games, and you are able to party until the early hours of the morning every night and the GOs keep the party going with such enthusiasm throughout.

Highly recommend this resort - thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable! We will be back.

Resort layout and beach is nice.
Staff attitude specifically security and local staff were not welcoming and rude to any local guests who came to visit.
Food was below average and not freshly prepared.
There was bias in treatment of people based on race and language spoken.
This is now in comparison to club med Maldives which I did in July with the family.
Will never stay here again
