The hotel is adjacent to the Botanic Gardens and an easy walk to the Wildlife Center. Downtown Limbe is a bit farther but easily walkable, or alternatively a short moto ride. I was in Limbe on International Women’s Day so walkable to the city was important. The setting is quiet and has a remote feel to it. The hotel overlooks Ambas Bay. The view from the restaurant was perfect but slightly spoiled when I was there in March 2011 by an oil rig parked in the bay waiting for repairs. The bungalow type rooms were adequate. There was a snafu with the room reservation on arrival. It was sorted out but not without some stress. The first night there a wind storm blew a part of the roof off. It was repaired the next morning. The beach was a non-swimming one but then it is a short moto to Mile 8 and 11 beaches (a must). The pool was refreshing. A fair number of Cameroonians dropped in from time to time. Restaurant breakfast (included in room cost) was good as was dinner, but the latter seemed pricey.
