We received a very warm welcome at reception, sadly our room(21) was very cold. We told the girl on reception and when we returned from the spa we found that we had been moved to a warmer, cosier room.(25).
This is a good place to come for a spa break, to recharge your batteries during the winter. The food is tasty, well presented and has originality in both the a la carte and set menus.
The east coast is within striking distance for the day,or York for both cultural and retail experiences.
We had an excellent breakfast, self serve buffet with continental and full English ....fantastic, which meant we really only needed a drink at lunchtime before we returned in the late afternoon.
We would have no qualms in booking again and would be happy to recommend The Bridge as a good , value for money, place to stay

Room Tip: Ask for heating to be turned up or for a room change.

I am so pleased that you felt we looked after you so well during your spa break with us. Thank you so much for your kind comments. Indeed we are very centrally located in Yorkshire, very nearby York & Harrogate, with the Dales & the East Coast only a short drive away.

Recently stayed at the hotel for a relatives wedding. When we arrived hotel looked lovely and my fiancé and myself checked in to a pre booked double room. When we got to our room (Room 35) the room was extremely small, certainly not a double room, at most a large single room! After persevering the first night in the room we were awake at 3am and then again at 5am and that was us awake, plus there was a fire door right outside our room which from 5.30am was constantly being slammed shut!
When we complained In the morning, we were told the hotel was fully booked! I stated that the room was far from a double and shocking it was sold as that. Fortunately the nice receptionist managed to change our room to one upstairs, which was a double room. The difference between the 2 rooms was unreal. I can't believe that actually sold room 35 as a double room. Shocking!
After that the rest of our stay was fine.
In addition room 35 wasn't very clean either and the fresh towels smelled bizarrely like vinegar?

Room Tip: If you are a couple do no accept room 35!!

Many thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us. I am pleased that overall you enjoyed your stay with us & the wedding went well. I am sorry you were dissapointed with your room, whist small it does have wonderful view over the private courtyard, many of our regular guest do ask for this room.

Went here as a family group of 4 for Sunday lunch. Was very impressed with the service, food and value for money. Approx £15 for 3 courses is great value and the food is excellent. A nice choice of starters and desserts, and a lovely carvery to chose from. Will definitely be back!

Eaten here many times. The food is delicious. The staff are great. We have had two christmas meals here......Santa came and a magician......great for my two younger ones. We have had Sunday lunch here on a few occasions. Again food always good. But my favourite time was one Friday evening......an old school friend and I met there for the first time in years.......the staff were brilliant......we had so much catching up to do that everytime they came to take our order we were given a few more minutes. I think it was half an hour before they got it. All the staff were intrigued by our story and they just left us to it........we were there when they had all gone. Thankyou

Myself and my partner visited the hotel for a Spa and a three course carvery meal. The Spa was was nice, if a little small. The outdoor hot tub was extremely relaxing and quiet set aside in a little alcove. The meal was very nice and tasty. The staff both in the Spa, restaurant and at Reception were very attentive, friendly and would happily deal with any queries or requests. A Special thank you to Lyndsey on reception who was exceptional with customer service and even provided a lift back to the train station. Overall a lovely experience.
