Josh, the Chef, and his family run this restaurant. It is not easy to find as it is within the Cromwell Mall, but it is well worth a visit. Josh's food is an absolute delight - especially his trio of lamb, which my husband raves about after every visit. We recently took a client there for dinner and all of our meals were of a very high quality.
it is a place for everyone as it serves a selection of food that suits all, including home made pizzas, which we all love......don't we?
If you are vegetarian Josh is happy to rustle up a delectable plate to suit your needs.
Service is efficient but relaxed at the same time - no rushing the punters away!
The wine menu is mostly made up of local Central Otago wines, which are comparable in price to other local restaurants.
There are two outside eating areas, one being a small enclosed cosy area at the back of the restaurant and the other at the front of the restaurant spilling out onto the walkway.
A great place to meet other locals and new people in town.

We travel monthly to Cromwell for business, so have dined at Feast on more than one occasion. The menu is always inventive and creative, featuring top quality local food and wines. Whether starters or mains, our meals have been delicious and beautifully prepared. However, our latest meal was one of the best ever and deserves top accolades to owner and chef Josh Hill. The wild tar pie starter had a lovely mildly gamey taste in a stunning gravy and perfect pastry crust and was bursting with flavour. The deconstructed hare lasagne was a culinary treat with every bite. My husband thankfully shared a few bites of his starter of chicken pasta in a superb herb sauce, as well as a well prepared eye fillet on spinach and a potato rosti. A glass of local Pinot, a cold beer - all in all, a very memorable dining experience and Central Otago at its best. Don't let the location put you off - Feast is definitely worth a stop.

Food is good although the Pork Belly on the menu turns out to be a slice of a Stuffed Rolled Pork Roast?
No good if on buisiness as it always seems to be almost impossible to obtain an itemised GST receipt here unless you resort to threatning not to pay. Not sure what this is about.
Service is good though!

Has deservedly won awards for lamb and beef cuisine prepared by chef Josh Hill. A great selection of local wild food also. Worth dining here if you are visiting Cromwell.

We were introduced to Feast by friends who live near Cromwell.
Do not judge the restaurant by its location or initial appearance. The staff are friendly and efficient, the place is warm even in the middle of winter.
The food is great, mostly local produce with some interesting combinations.
We had hare wrapped in prociutto and filo pastry as a entree and duck risotto as a main, both were delicious.
Would advise booking on weekends as its a small place and popular.
