Rubyvale Motel and Holiday Units
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed February 27, 2011

We stayed a couple of times at the Rubyvale Motel & Holiday Units.
We were always very welcome, great location, wonderful hosts, very nice setting in the bush.
The rooms are spacious and very clean. All you need is there: digging equipment and professional advice to dig for Sapphire guaranteed.
Its just a wonderful place!

Business trip to Emerald and all accomodation booked out, so I booked Rubyvale, about 40mins drive west of Emerald. What a lovely surprise! I stay in a lot of Hotels from 5 star to your basic Motel and this little place is a gem. Clean, tidy self contained units with everything you want. Beds & pillows comfy, great shower and very roomy.
Even has a lovely pool and rooms are air conditioned.
Great proximity to Gemfields.

No meals or restaurant but got a marvelous Steak at the Rubyvale hotel which was lovely! Couldn't reccomend enough.

Thanks for the review. Most of our guests are couples travelling in the outback or as a bush getaway. Emerald has become a busy service town to the the coal mining boom and we do offer a quiet relaxing four star alternative. Michael & Jane

Fantastic appartments for the price u pay. A small gem in the gemfields. We were unexpetantly surprised by the luxurious accomodations we did take the deluxe cabins with wirlpool but any of the cabins would be a very welcome retreat after a hard days fossicking! Highly advisable.

Great accommodation, very new units, we stayed in the deluxe motel room with a spa and kitchenette for 2 nights. There are also 1 and 2 bedroom and family units. For breakfast you order a pack with toast, bacon, eggs, baked beans etc, and they deliver it to your room the night before - with a frypan to cook yourself. This cost $7.50 for 2 people! Great idea.

Very nice helpful staff too, Taylors are gemmologists and have a jewellry shop on site. Gave us so much information and many recommendations for fossicking which turned out to be very good advice.

On Friday night there is a bus to take you into town to the pub, but it didn't turn up, so we had to drive as it's about 1.5km on dark country roads.

Highly recommended!
