“True Hospitality”
Reviewed July 19, 2008

We found this place by chance and were so happy to have found it. John and Moira welcomed us like long lost friends with a cup of tea.
The Eagle View is the best place we stayed at during our whole Scotland trip. Rooms and en-suite bathrooms are new and spotlessly clean and have all amenities one could wish for. Breakfast was at a large communal table and talk was as if one was in one's own home. John and Moira recommended the best restaurants in the area and also the best sights to be seen nearby. They are the perfect hosts by far. Don't miss this B & B if your are in the area. This is real, true and perfect hospitality. We shall return without a doubt.

We arrived on a very wet afternoon after a long journey on a motorbike. We had a warm welcome and shown to our room which also had a drying room for our wet bike gear. The room was like a five star hotel only better. John and Moira couldnt do enough for us. It was just like home only someone spoiling us for a change and bikers are very welcome. Breakfast was so good we put on a few pounds before we left. We would reccomend Eagles View to everyone young or old .

This guest house is brilliant. Honestly, it's one of the best I've stayed in. John is a top guy and cooks a mean breakfast.

Helen and I went in January and liked it so much we went back again within a month. Absolutley beautiful location and it's approx 12 miles south of Aviemore.

Loved it and will return again and again....

I had seen a review of Eagle View in one of the quality Scottish Sunday papers a while back, and it was good enough to stick in the back of my mind, one of those places you read a review about and think, "some day.."

Anyway, it was my girlfriend's 30th birthday in December 2007 and we wanted to go away somewhere nice, but not wallet bendingly pricey to celebrate. Paris was mooted, but bank balance said no, so given the option of anywhere in the UK, the Cairngorms, and the Eagle View, were an instant choice. And it was the perfect choice.

We have never stayed in a nicer guest house. In fact we've stayed in far pricier hotels that couldn't come close to the standards of service, accommodation, food and general, well, quality that the owners, John and Moira, offer. The house itself is beautiful; a classic Highland stone-built property, very tastefully furnished and decorated in subtle, rich colours, with superbly comfortable beds (and a chaise longue in our room :o) - No.4)

Breakfast was superb, with choices to suit every taste. Needless to say we went for the full cooked option and it was delicious (with proper bright orange yolked free-range eggs - perhaps a small thing, but to me it is indicative of someone taking care with things and choosing quality over the easier, cheaper option).

We would not hesitate in the slightest to recommend the Eagle View to anyone (and in fact have already done so to our friends, family and colleagues) and, quite frankly, I can't imagine us staying anywhere else the next time we're in the area. 10/10!

By far the nicest guest house iv ever stayed in, tastefully decorated with no detail or expense spared. Very cozy & relaxed. John makes a wonderful breakfast, spinach scramble immense -has to be sampled! Will hopefully be back very soon. Oh and the dogs-little sweeties!

We stayed here whilst choosing our wedding venue (Ardverikie Estate) for our wedding in July 2007, and immediately fell in love with the place. This is without doubt the nicest B&B we have EVER stayed in! The place is decorated to perfection, the hosts make you feel like friends and the facilities are exactly what you would choose if you could have a say in it.

Because we were so impressed we chose it as the place to stay the night before the wedding and my family took over the place for one night. The suite was heavenly (particularly the slipper bath!) and the service was faultless. Moira made sure that I was served breakfast first and John went the extra mile by drilling an extra hole in my chief bridesmaid's shoe strap! That's the kind of people that they are and as a result my wedding day started better than I could have planned it and we will return regularly and often recommend the Eagle View to others. An absolute gem of a place - and simply the best hosts.

We stayed at this guest house as a stop on a drive to Northern Scotland. John gave made us feel very welcome. The rooms were spotless and nicely decorated. Breakfast was excellent and gave us an opportunity to chat with other guests at a large table. There was a strange smell when we arrived but this did disperse so hopefully it was just a one off incident
