We went here on a lovely warm evening and sat outside to eat, we ordered at the bar, the staff werent over friendly but not particularly welcoming either ...just doing their job. Our meals came and as I had ordered lamb and veg I asked for extra gravy ,,, don't think that was appreciated much and wasn't even offered mint sauce! Needless to say quite basic meals, didnt bother stopping for puddings.

We are so sorry that we did not meet this reviewers expectations.
It was a exceptionally busy night and we were a member of staff down due to illness.
The comments have been passed to our waiting staff and they will endeavour to try to maintain a high standard in all aspects of customer service.
Our lamb shank dish is served in a red wine, rosemary and tomato sauce and as such we have never been asked for mint sauce to go with it before! A somewhat strange combination!
We have asked kitchen to ensure that we have some available in future should this request ever be made.

Me and my partner stayed here on 6th July for a night. We had benn in the highlander hotel along the road the night before and knew we wouldn't stay another night there. We went to the glen hotel for a wee drink on the Saturday afternoon and were welcomed by Chris and Kim in the bar, which was very nicely decorated and well stocked. After a couple of drinks we found ourselves asking if they had a room for the following night, which they did.
The room we had was very nice and the newly refurbed en- suite was even nicer. We had a lovely meal that night and an even nicer breakfast the next morning. All the staff were very accomodating, nothing too much trouble.
We would not hesitate to stay here again and would reccomend it to anyone

We stopped off here on the way from Ben Nevis to Glenlivet Estate. From the moment we were greeted by the friendly Publican to the time we left we had excellent, friendly efficient service. The food was superb. I had the steak and ale pie and my wife and daughter had chicken fajitas. All the food was tasty and satisfying. Plenty of local food (Haggis Tower; seafood, etc...), curries and pub food.

I would recommend this put to anyone. Top notch.

The room was a little crampt, barely enough room to walk between the bed and the chairs. And the double bed was just two singles pushed together with a crack in the middle. The restaurant was pretty good though, with a broad variety from Mexican to Indian, although the breakfast menu was somewhat more limited (good, but pretty much just eggs). One could hear the bar patrons from the room, though. Also, while the WiFi was free, it was unreliable and slow. Most of the attractions are more towards aviemore, but that's only about twenty minutes away so if you're looking to save some coin its a good choice.

Thank you for taking time to place your review and we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us at The Glen. We are sorry about 'the crack' in the bed - our beds are called 'zip & link' and are quite common in the UK - it gives the flexibility for each room to be a double or twin bedded room. We discovered after you left that the zip (velcro) arrangement had come un-done - easily rectified once we were aware of the problem! We are at a loss to understand the comments about breakfast? We offer an extensive range of items at breakfast from a full Scottish to Continental items, cold cuts, yoghourts, cheeses, Scottish kippers and even several vegetarian items including vegetarian sausages, haggis etc - a lot more than just eggs!

I only stopped off for one night but I had visited the Glen once before.
Upon arrival I was given a friendly greeting & a comprehensive rundown of the routine.
That done my room was a small single but was en suite with tv.
The bed was very comfortable and all was clean.
Downstairs is the main bar/dining room with a good variety on the menu. I had a basic liver, onion & mash which was delicious & washed down with New Zealand white wine, lovelly. The bar is well stocked & well kept, small, but this place is mainly food. There are tables outside for when the sun shines & a decent sized car park. Off the bar is a small games room with pool table to keep the younger ones happy.
Breakfast was a good variety & set me up for my onward drive.
