We stayed at the Glen Hotel for 1 night and were very impressed.

The whole hotel has been recently refurbished and were the rooms inside were very nice. The staff was very friendly and helped us plan our day quite well

We had dinner in the hotel in the evening - again, great value for money and really nice food.

All in all - excellent hotel

This hotel is ok for 1 night stay, when you just need a place to sleep. The room #1 was extremely small, 2 people + 2 carry-on suitcases and bag and there is no room to move. The staff was nice and friendly.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay at The Glen Hotel and that you have taken time to place a review.

The size of the room was reflected in the rate paid and larger rooms with king size beds are available for a small supplement.

We hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you back to The Glen at sometime in the future.

An away weekend with friends in March took us as to the hotel. Cosy and comfortable, go for a rear facing room as the bar is very busy and can be noisy at weekends. Extra heaters in rooms( we turned ours off as it was so warm), great powerful showers. Excellent bar food menu with specails board. The only down side was breakfast, the dining room was very quiet so you could hear everyones converstaion and the waitress although very polite was a wee bit dour. I'd happily go back to this hotel

Room Tip: no room or pool so can't comment. Opt for a room at the back to avoid road and bar noise.

Stayed here for a night a few weeks ago. Friendly staff, good food and very reasonable price. Would recommend it. Only downside was the receptionist mentioned that Newtonmore had beaten Kinlochshiel that day.

The Glen is a very comfortable hotel, well located in a decent sized village with all amenities Staff were very welcoming, pleasant and helpful and made our short break very enjoyable. Both the rooms and the public areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and well maintained. The rooms are a good size with all the facilities you need and very comfortable beds. The seating with coffee table plus a large screen, multi channel tv is also useful if you are not inclined to sit in a bar all evening. The en-suite shower room was a decent size. The shower was powerful and toiletries were provided. We made good use of the free wi fi which was fast and error free for the whole of our stay. Breakfast was an excellent choice of cereals, juices, yoghurts etc followed by a large choice of hot food that is cooked to order. We ate dinner in the bar each evening and could not fault the meals at all. A varied menu to suit everyone, reasonably priced and again, all cooked fresh to order. We have never visited this area of Scotland before and the Glen Hotel is very well located for touring the area. We plan on returning and look forward to staying at the Glen again. We had a thoroughly enjoyable short break and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone. It well deserves its "Fabulous" rating.

Room Tip: All rooms are on the first floor. We were in Room 8 towards the rear and if there was any noise from...

Very nice and reasonably priced hotel - our room was comfortable and clean (and toasty warm in Winter), breakfast was fab and included in the price...we ate in the restaurant and the food (pub grub) was good.
