Between Inverness and Edinburgh, if you search a stop in a little village. Do you not hesitat ! Go to the Glen hotel in Newtonmore. It's not a 5 star hotel, but the room was big and clean, the King size bed was very confortable and the staff was very kind. Take also the time to walk to the "Loch na Leoaba", it's so pretty.
The food's pub and the breakfast are both very good.

The hotel's tag line is 'The perfect place to stay' - and it is. Clean and comfortable, and good value.

Stayed two nights in double en suite room 9, at the front of the hotel - no noise problem from within or without.

The warm welcome was followed by helpful and friendly service throughout. Evening meals in the attractive bar are good value, with plenty of choice, including vegetarian options. Breakfast is tailored to one's exact requirements.

Only minor niggle was the MTV/4Music in the bar and Moray Firth Radio in the dining room. It wasn't too loud though, and would not prevent us booking again.

Room Tip: Room 9 - double en suite - has a good view down the main street, and was not noisy from within or without.

Stayed in March 2012 for one night en route to Ullapool. Small room but clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable.Good meal in the bar in the evening, excellent breakfast, and it came to £45 all up. I doubt I have ever had a deal quite as good as that.

Room Tip: Room 1 is small, can't speak for the others.

Excellent hotel with good food at excellent prices, especially meal for 2 deals. Staff very helpful and spotlessly clean facilities. Booked through Late Rooms and was not disappointed. In an area where there are great walks and local train to surrounding towns and cities. I can recommend this to everyone. Book in and enjoy the hospitality.

Room Tip: All rooms were excellent
