“comforts of home”
Reviewed August 30, 2014

Been here several times when travelling to Kingussie and always a pleasure. In the front part there are sofas which make for a nice place to rest after a tiring journey, then up at the back are regular cafe tables with a lovely view of a little garden. They serve delicious coffee I might add.

“Good place for a lunch”
Reviewed August 29, 2014

Having visited this cafe before last year, we thought we would try it again. We were not disappointed. The soup, sweet potato and ginger, was delicious and the sandwich served with it, was tasty. We will be back.

“Lovely Lunch”
Reviewed August 21, 2014 via mobile

We were staying in Newtonmore and decided to pop back for lunch. We definitely made the right choice with The Wild Flour. Lots of choice. My hot smoked salmon platter was very filling and delicious. My husband enjoyed his burger too. Only Improvement would be, as they advertise as serving food for different intolerances -soya milk! Friendly service too.

“Really great food, badly need to improve service”
Reviewed July 21, 2014

We've visited here many times and although the food is consistently good and always interesting, I think the service is getting worse. There were 4 people there on our last visit (including the chef) and still we had to wait a long time for our order to be taken and then for the drinks to arrive. It wasn't busy at the time. The two new young waitresses are both quite sweet but drift around in a spaced-out way - I was tempted to clear the tables and take the orders myself it was so frustrating seeing young girls move so slowly.

Thanks for your review. We're really sorry about the service you received, the two girls you mentioned were quite new to the job and being trained but, as it turns out, one of them has left for pastures new anyway! The remaining girl has a lot of potential so hopefully the next time you come back the service will be much better.

Thanks again..

“Yummy cheesecake!”
Reviewed July 6, 2014 via mobile

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night. They do BYOB which is great to save a bit of money and the food was lovely. Nothing too fancy but very tasty. The cafe/restaurant is at the back looking out on a pretty garden which I think you can sit in during the day. Very friendly and chatty staff. Would recommend!
