Just come back from a two week stay in Newtonmore.
The house was lovely. As a party of six, Three teenagers, three adults & a dog, we had plenty of space.
The biggest problem for us was the garden was not secure.
We had read other reviews and knew that this might be a problem. We took a wind breaker thinking that this would be a deterrent for the dog, but the garden was open at two sides of the house.
Other than this the house ticked the boxes :-)

I stayed with my daughters, grandchildren (aged 4,6,7 and 12) and dog. Each of us had their own space for fun or relaxation. The only drawback for us was an open garden without any fence. The hous is good size for big family like mine and so well equipped and clean. Newtonmore is a beautiful place with a few nice cafes, we like to visited "Wild Flour Cafe" - very friendly for children and fantastic coffee. It was afantastic time for all of us.

Property is of a size and so well equipped that its description and photographs on its web site pay it scant justice. It is spotlessly clean, well furnished with quality fixtures and fittings. It is located in a beautiful and very quiet cul-de-sac. It is only a 5 minute walk from local pubs/hotels and restaurants. All in all one of the very best self catering properties I have had the pleasure of staying over the past 30 years. I could not recommend it more highly!

I stayed with my husband and three children(aged 23,21 and 16). The location allowed us to do lots of walks and enjoy the Cairngorm area, in what was one of the best weeks weather wise of the year. It was good to have the garden to do a bit of relaxing after our outings and ran our daily swingball competitions. The house was clean and well decorated and I liked the separate "quiet room" away from the TV. We also made use of the free tennis courts in the Village and the bowling greens for a nominal donation. There were lovely sands at Laggan and enjoyed a paddle. Newtonmore had a few cafes and the scones in the "Wild Flour Cafe" are recommended. There was more to do in Aviemore which was only a short drive away.
