“Home from home!”
Reviewed August 3, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

What a lovely cottage. Everything you could need for your stay. There is a modern bathroom with power shower and a well equipped kitchen. The fully enclosed garden was safe for our escape artist dog (and son) to run around in without worry! After a day of exploring the beautiful Highlands it was lovely to come home and relax in the cosy lounge with comfy sofas. The cottage is one road back from the main street and really quiet with friendly locals and Co-op is 2 corners away.

“Quiet, small cottage with beautiful garden in a great location, dogs happy!”
Reviewed July 8, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Garden was great, nice space for dogs to run around, and we enjoyed eating outside when weather was amenable. Good size bedrooms and bathroom was lovely! Kitchen was a little small without much storage but as only 2 adults, and dogs, we coped! Unfortunately we don't have Netflix so we struggled with the telly, but.... Owners really helpful when I couldn't gain entry (my fault), and also sent back to me the clothes I'm forgot!

Was lovely to have a table to sit and eat at, and indoor / outside clothes drying facilities too :-). Off road parking was great, made access easy, and the locals seemed very friendly!

Thanks Rhona for letting us stay at your lovely cottage.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed our cottage and hope you will return in the future. Sorry you had problems with the TV - Netflix only works if you have your own account but the TV has many digital channels available. Thanks for taking care of our holiday home.

“Quiet, cosy and close to amenities”
Reviewed August 8, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We travelled as a family of six (children aged 12,10,8 & 7) and found Glenoran to be everything we expected. The children liked sleeping in together and numerous toys and games were provided. Having a garden with a good sized grass area was a bonus for the smaller two to run around. The cottage and facilities were clean, well prepared and unfussy, without being basic. Situated one road back from Newtonmore's main street, it is a quiet residential street within easy walking distance of the supermarket and several choices to eat out. Easy accesses to buses and trains too. We loved walking the Wildcat trail and visiting the Highland Folk Museum, which is an easy walk away. We wanted for nothing here and the owners were keen to make sure we had everything we needed. The modern bathroom with power shower was a bonus and the front porch was a nice place for two tired parents to sit in the evenings and unwind! The lounge was actually a bit bigger than it looked in the photos (to us anyway). Highly recommended.

“Great Cosy Cottage!”
Reviewed August 6, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We chose Newtonmore given the fact that it was quite close to many locations in the Highlands particularly the Cairngorms national park. We were provided detailed instructions prior to our visit on the directions to find the cottage and the manner in which is the key is obtained. It was nice to find ample information and instructions in the cottage by the owners such as medical contacts, closes fast food etc.

The cottage was very comfortable being on a single floor having decently sized kitchen with a good sized living/sitting room and two good sized bedrooms one of which included a bunk bed. Beds were very comfortable with a functional modern bathroom. Everything was found very clean. We were a largish group of 4 adults and two kids and the cottage fitted us pretty well. It was comfortable to find a cosy cottage waiting for you on your return following a long day out in the Highlands with a parking space in front of the garage. The only thing that bothered us was turning on the heating given the very limited instructions left by the owners in the cottage book. The ladies were feeling cold particularly in the evenings and the only heater we managed to switch on was the one found in the sitting room. But having said that it was a great accommodation in a lovely quiet location close to all amenities such the Coop being two corners away. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quite accommodation in the middle of the Highlands.

“Well equipped cottage”
Reviewed July 30, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Great find! The cottage was small (for 3 adults, two kids and dog) but clean, well equipped and exactly what we were looking for - pet friendly, washing machine, dish washer and wifi. With the added benefits of central location, private parking for two cars and enclosed garden it was fantastic. Newtonmore has a decent sized coop for anything required, attractions of Highland Folk Museum, Wildcat trail and the Wildcat Experience (decorated wildcats to spot). Kids loved the bunk beds and toy box!

“Great location”

The cottage was comfortable for my family of 4, but it can accomodate more. Private parking is a plus. Location is excellent with some really nice places to visit.
The open air museum in Newtonmore is very good for both children and adults. Glencoe, Ben Nevis range and Loch Ness are all easy to get to. Bear in mind that there will be a lot of driving to do. I covered over 1000miles in 6 days.
