I don't expect 5-star facilities from bunkhouse accommodation but have to agree with other reviewers that say this place is "awful" and "dreadful". The kitchen/dining area was filthy with the rest of the place not much better. It is an affront to Scottish hospitality that places like this are allowed to remain in business. The conditions might have just been acceptable in a mountain bothy stuck up a glen in the middle of nowhere but that is perhaps an unjustifiable slur on people using mountain bothies. There is another bunkhouse in the village and it will be getting my custom on any future visits to Newtonmore. Totally shocking and agree with himalheid that the EHO services of Highland Region should pay it a visit and perhaps close it down.
