As per the above, lovely tasty food and really friendly staff.
Good choice of vegetarian options as well as some really nice local ales.

“Very friendly pub ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2014 via mobile

Great food selection especially for a pub. A mix of highland food and broader selections. They also have a children's menu.

“What a great pub.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2014

Visited in March 2014 on the evening of mothers day, we had booked the day before and were glad that we did.
The place was very busy but the service was still very good and prompt.
The food was to a high standard and a reasonable price.
The bar stocks some great beers and although the do not stock Guiness they stock a substitute from a local Aviemore brewery that in my opinion supassed the Guiness.
The staff were very friendly, especially the barman who had time to talk to customers about the local breweries.
Finally the toilets were very clean and this is always a barometer to how good a property is. Well done.

“Not your average pub grub, far better”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2014

We ate here two nights on the run during the week. The menu is standard pub fare with a few extra gems, and good local specialities. The setup is standard pub - order at the bar, note your table number, Service is quick.
Looking beyond the standard pub format, the quality of food is really excellent. The haggis tower starter is well worth a try and really good. I had the venison cassorole for mains, again really good. The pub also serves some local real ales, again top notch.
So as far as pubs go, this one is a real gem and worth giving a go. The prices are pretty standard for a pub too, so good value.
