We had an evening meal here as the restaurant in our own hotel was fully booked for the evening. Our hotel receptionist had made the recommendation and a good one it was!
First and foremost the welcome we received was courteous and warm. We were given the choice of sitting in the bar or in the main room; we chose the bar as there was more going on in there.
We chose salmon and steak and ale pie which were delicious; kids had chicken strips and chips. Great to see fresh chicken rather than frozen nuggets! Desserts were oh too temping so we had those too. Sticky toffee pudding is very nice indeed.
Place had a really good atmosphere and is highly recommended if you are passing through.
