Description: The folk of Chertsey have, for a long time, had nothing to amuse them outside of commuting or the log flume at Thorpe Park. But thanks to the team behind Egham’s Bar 163, since 2000 things have got a whole lot more exciting when the sun goes down. Set in the old town hall Bar 163 successfully mixes quirky style with fantastic food and the odd al fresco jazz evening. High ceilings are complimented by weird and wonderful décor while throughout the day summery Mediterranean specialities are served, especially welcome on those hot sunny days when you can’t resist terrace dining.

I love this restaurant. Took a couple of coworkers to lunch there today. Two of us had the grilled cod and it was fantastic. The other person had the burger and said it also was very good. If you're in Chertsey and want a really good lunch, this is the place.

We occasionally go to this restaurant as the ambience is lovely. The décor is very chic in a shabby way but lovely. Food is good and always have great specials. My only grudge is that sometimes the service is a little slow. I do like a glass of wine whilst browsing the menu and this is always a little slow to come. However overall a good night out.

Visited early evening for a meal with 3 young children.
Staff exceptionally friendly, chef cooked a plain pasta dish on request for one of my grandchildren.
The food served on this evening to 3 adults and 3 little ones was delicious. Not cheaf but very tasty.
the waiters did not ignore the children but rather chatted to them and made them feel special.

I really liked this place which seems to be an independent as opposed to the chains that one seems to find everywhere now.
They had a good range of choices on the menu and both our dishes were great! Would recommend. Slightly dodgy décor that was an odd combination of Gothic come trialling fabric and streamers. Still it's an interesting place and we loved it. Will go again.

I've eaten here more than a few times over the last couple of years. The setting is quaint with an interesting staircase leading to the upstairs dining area. Fairly priced with a decent European menu.

Friendly staff, if needed can turn around a quick meal if you are pushed for time on a business lunch.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
