The rooms are spotless, staff couldn't do more for you. They pointed out local landmarks, and if they didn't know they would research for us. We can sing more highly of them. There great views, and a 5 star approach to everything. The food was wonderfully repaired and ample. We enjoyed it so much will be back in October for our anniversary.

Nice location with sea veiws...plenty of parking.
The room that we had was very well fitted out with everything that you'd need for a short stay here.
Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful to our needs etc.

I had read previous reveiws on the resturant and food standards but I always take these 'with a pinch of salt' as some people expect 5 star service at 2 star prices! The Fayreness is 2 stars for food and resturant services at best. As one of the previous reveiwers had put: 'It's a good place to stay...but eat elsewhere...That, I think, sums up my opinion also.

If you want 5 star ratings...go to a 5 star hotel!

Room Tip: Sea Veiw would be good if you can get one.

Dog-friendly sea-side hotel on a cliff above a beach.

All staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spotless, as was the bathroom, with a powerful shower.

Restaurant is a lovely room with sea view, but eating in the bar, (from the same menu), was a bit pubby. Great hand-pumped beer though. We found that the food from the daily specials was good value and nicely done.

Stayed on two occasions in May 2012, for two nights on each visit, while working on a job in Broadstairs. All the staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good and served promptly. Evening meal, which I had in the Bar rather than the Dining Room was very good and good value.
On the second visit there was a Wedding Fair on in the Dining Room, which made the Bar more crowded, but acceptable. Room was comfortable, would use the hotel again if in the area.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Room (sea view) was good sized, as was bathroom. High standard of cleanliness. Breakfast very good and general menu also OK. Easy access to clifftop and beaches with potential to walk into Broadstairs or Cliftonville.. Only slight issue was in high winds the glazing in the room sruggled to keep the draughts out and the room heating struggled to keep the temperature up.

Great views if you want to see the sea, pleasant receiption staff, breakfast was very good - though some of the staff seem scared to smile

Room was adequate ( remember it's a 3* ) but a fair walk from receiption

We stayed for three nights last week in a sea view double aspect room. Unfortunately it was bitterly cold which so our intentions of spending our days wandering were a bit curtailed, although we did manage to walk to Broadstairs and a couple of other local towns.
the hotel, however was lovely and warm, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a balcony; flat screen tv; en suite with a bath and shower over and plenty of room. It really was a delightful room.
We had intended to dine out at least one night but because of the weather, (and because it was good) we stayed in the hotel for our evening meal. I was surprised to find that most of the meals are cooked fresh and that the chef was more than happy to adapt his recipes to suit. Breakfast also was excellent with a good choice on offer.
The Faireness is a pub as well as a hotel which was fine with us, we were more than happy to use the bar. We also met Chris Jordan who amongst other professions works as a DJ on a Kent radio station, (sorry Chris forget which one). Anyway he was good fun as were all the staff we met.
It wasn't until we had been there for a couple of days that I noticed that all the staff speak English, in fact they were all English; such a change from most hotels in this country where English is always a second language. It was nice not to have to use pigeon English for once.
I booked through Bookings.com but I am told you can get the same rate by booking direct with the hotel.

Room Tip: sea view was nice
