Room was brilliantly furnished, great value, clean and tidy.
Bar excellent with friendly staff and good real ale!
Restuarant was also excellent. Waiting staff attentive, but not ott, and the food was supberb.
Finally, the location is lovely, and one of the staff will take you agross the hand-ferry for free if you are staying at the B&B (£1 if not).

No complaints.

Popped in here after a long weekend event nearby to celebrate how well it had all gone. Were treated to an excellent dinner in modern but rustic surroundings. The food really was great.

My husband and I have stayed at The Saracen's Head for many years now and look forward to each visit as eagerly as the first. The rooms have been modernized to enhance the visitors' stay and we have always find our room spotless, and comfortable.
We love room 10 which is an upgraded room within the main building and gives us lots of space and a super bathroom.
Would recommend staying here and enjoying the excellent service, super food and exploring a beautiful area.

Room Tip: All rooms excellent although the river views are a bonus

We didnt stay but ate here for 5 nights. The food was lovely and the staff efficient and friendly. It was busy most nights but we had quick service non the less. I can thoroughly recommend the duck and rib eye! We stayed in forest view as it was cheaper with better views.

Myself and partner spent one night in the Saracens Head as part of a weekend getaway and really couldn't fault it. The location is lovely, with fabulous views. The accomodation itself is more than adequate - the room we had was small, but clean and comfortable, again with the fab views. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had dinner in the evening, which although a tad overpriced was lovely, and the breakfast included in the room price was great. Lots to choose from and a good start to the day. We parked for free as residents, but there was only space at the front for about 4 cars - so i'm not sure what happens when they're really full?

Would definitely recommend the Saracens Head as a base for visiting the beautiful Wye Valley.

Room Tip: Room 2 has views of the River Wye.

I recently spent 3 nights in the Upper Boathouse at the Sarecens Head, which is the dearest room but well worth the extra money. It is a very large clean room with a whirlpool bath, and beautiful river views. I also used the restaurant every night and found the food and service very good. All staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a very enjoyable stay and I will certainly be going back to stay again.

Had a meal last night at this hotel, which I must say is in the most beautiful location, my husband and I have been several times here for meals as we are 'locals' ie Sunday lunch which is excellent, but was dissapointed with our meal last night ,not in the quality of the meat as the sorloin steak was cooked by Andy the chef to perfection best steak we have had anywhere, but it was just a piece of steak with a lovely sauce on the plate , accompanied by a bowl chips !! and a bit of greenery sat on the steak , we knew we could have ordered a side plate of vegetables , but at £15:95 a head we felt the meal was incomplete , when it arrived my husband remarked ' is that it ?' It did not feel like value for money, which is such a shame , What is most important , regular satisfied customers versus the price of a few vegetables?
