If you fancy an afternoon tea in Symonds Yat then this is the place to go. Lovely fresh warm scones and the view across the River Wye is lovely.

Over £3.00 for two cokes? We would have had afternoon tea, but found another lovely tea shop in the Forest of Dean on our way back to Symonds Yat so stopped there. You may want to do the same at these fancy prices. Having said that - the view and ambience is lovely.

This tea garden is near the Saracen's Head on the eastern bank of the River Wye. We sat outside to enjoy the wonderful views of the river and the steeply-wooded valley sides. It's a great location although parking directly opposite is limited (there's plenty of parking spaces further along).

Toasted brie was excellent. The cream tea was possibly the best we've ever tasted: the scones were fresh, well-made and well-baked. The cream was proper clotted cream and a generous portion too; and the strawberry jam was good quality and deliciously tasty.

Service was so friendly and helpful. We'd love to go back there!
