“Lovely”
Reviewed May 11, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Lovely cottage in a fabulous area. The cottage was well equipped and very clean. The surrounding gardens are beautiful, with lots of wildlife on the doorstep. We were visited every morning by a pheasant in the back courtyard, and enjoyed watching and listening to all the various birds, squirrels, foxes etc. Easy access to Symond's Yat East and with great walks starting at the front door. Would love to come back soon.

“A lovely place”
Reviewed May 5, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

We stayed at Sue's Cottage in late March and had a lovely time. The cottage is very well equipped for self catering and it was very cosy and comfortable too. Very comfortable beds. The area is gorgeous and we walked miles. A lovely place to explore and an excellent cottage from which to do so. Thank you Justine.

“Immaculate cottage in a brilliant location”
Reviewed April 21, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We had a brilliant stay at Sue's Cottage. Justine, the owner, clearly has put a lot of thought and care into the fittings and amenities at the property and as a result we felt very much at home during our week. The cottage itself is warm, comfortable and well appointed. We appreciated the strong shower and the Egyptian Cotton bed linen after long days of hiking (as well as the cottage's close proximity to a number of pubs and restaurants practically on the doorstep in Symond's Yat). All in all, Sue's Cottage exceeded our expectations and we hope to return in the not too distant future.

“Excellent location, and pleasant stay”
Reviewed April 13, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Sue's cottage has amazing views of the valley and is a sweet, little cottage. The kitchen has every type of utensil, the beds were very comfortable (and Easter eggs had been keft for us!).

On the negative side (and this is being picky), it did lack a little character (uPVC windows, electric hobs, electric fake gas fire)

“Everything was just perfect”
Reviewed February 27, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We have just returned from a wonderful week spent at Sue's Cottage. The accommodation is 5 star with absolutely everything there, such a fabulous cottage and location with stunning scenery and walks. The cottage was so cosy and comfortable, eventhough it was cold and frosty outside we were always lovely and warm. Thank you Justine for a memorable week.

“Everything we needed was there and carefully thought out”
Reviewed January 5, 2015 for a stay in December 2014

This was a Christmas treat for us and our two grown up daughters. A break from the 'usual'. We could not have asked for more. Location right by the river was beautiful and a car parking space right outside was a bonus. The cottage was spotless and a lovely pressie of wine & chocolates was left to greet us. Kitchen layout was carefully planned and everthing needed was supplied. The little dining room was cosy with a nice outlook to lots of wild birds outside.
Main room with stairs leading off was a picture and very comfy. Upstairs the bedrooms both had large built-in wardrobes with plenty of coat hangers. The decoration and bedding were lovely. Thought went in to every detail including the fact that the hairdryer supplied worked very well and amazingly there was a plug socket and light right by the mirror (not always the case). The bathroom was also extremely clean, with toiletries supplied.
We all felt that we needed to escape the everyday stresses of work, shopping etc and this little heaven certainly did the trick.
I would like to thank Justine for making this Christmas very special.

A week's break away from the hurly burly...this is definitely the place to go. Badgers, foxes, and pheasants make appearances in the back garden. There is a fantastic view of the Wye Valley from the front, and all the attractions of the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas are within easy striking distance. The cottage is comfortable, clean and very well equipped. We took our dog along too. This cottage has a high rating, which is why we booked it, we were not disappointed, it is well deserved.
We recommended this accommodation highly and would stay there again.
