“Grand national Day”
Reviewed April 12, 2013 via mobile

Went to the grand national and it was a great day. Everything was really relaxed and it wasn't chaotic inside in the enclosure even though there was a crowd. We could easily get seats by the parade ring. The queues for the bars and the betting office are a bit long and unorganised. Tip is to bet on the all of races in the one go to avoid the rushing to the bookies. We were in the tatterstalls stand and it was mad. We had to go to the enclosure a good hour before the grand national to just get into the enclosure and get a view of the track. Other than that, it's a great track and even if you have no interest in racing, the atmosphere is great!! It's an impressive race track and well worth the value for money for tickets for a great day out.

“Best day out ever!!”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

We went for the national this year and 1 word can only be used AMAZING i can't wait to go again next year. The organisation at the course and train station was 11 out of 10 the prices were as expected but your at the biggest horse race of the year so what do you expect. Had a perfect view of the horses, I'm counting down the days until next years race :)

“Fantastic Day at Aintree”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We have just returned from a brilliant weekend in Liverpool, spending Saturday at the Grand National. This is the second year and we decided to buy tickets for The Lord Sefton Stand - Upper. We were not disappointed. Great views, brilliant service and far from the mass of crowds in the tattersalls. Don't get me wrong, we like tattersalls at Ascot, but this is just far too busy to enjoy. Do consider stand tickets for comfort and service - well worth it.

“Grand National 2013”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Went along to Aintree with some work colleagues who had never been before, have to say I was very impressed with some of the newer facilities as it has been a few years since I had been to Aintree. Huge problem however with toilet facilities - I have never seen such big queues to get in to toilets, even for the gents !! I have been to many outdoor events that cater for as many people as this does and never have I had the problem we had at Aintree - gotta improve on that one. Second thing was the coach parking, we were dropped off just inside the racecourse and that was fine, however we then had no idea where the coach would be parked and when I found it, way out past the Melling Rd exits I was exhausted.

On a positive front the course staff are helpful and friendly and the weather was fantastic, great music in some of the indoor areas and plenty of outlets for food and drinks.
