“Great Apartment with Excellent Sea Views”
Reviewed August 7, 2018 for a stay in July 2018

This Apartment is in a perfect location with the beach and Mediterranean sea on your door step. The views from the main balcony are towards the med and views from the 2 twin bedrooms towards the Mar Menor. Very comfortable, clean and tidy apartment with everything you need for a great stay on La Manga. Walking distance to Bars, Restaurants and supermarket. Lovely restaurants with sunset views in the Tomas Maestre Marina. I'm not sure if I would return to La Manga again as parts of it was a bit more run down than I expected, but I felt the location of this apartment was on a much nicer part of the strip. The only thing worth mentioning which isn't really a negative but we found the balcony very windy in the afternoons and evenings and it could get uncomfortable to sit outside so some sort of wind break would have been good, some apartments have glass panels fitted. However overall we had a lovely holiday and would thoroughly recommend this apartment. Key holders were very helpful on arrival.

“Stunning beach view location”
Reviewed August 8, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Apartment was exactly as advertised and as per the photographs - beautiful location overlooking extensive beach and the Mediterranean; close to the Tomas Maestre Marina and the local restaurants and shops at the more upmarket end of the La Manga Strip; very spacious rooms; overall a very well-presented and equipped apartment. Ideal for a relaxing, stress-free holiday with beaches (both on the Mediterranean and the shallower Mar Manor sides) literally on your doorstep - even at the end of July when we stayed, the beaches were relatively uncrowded. Highly recommended and would stay there again if returning to La Manga.

“Great Apartment, Fantastic Holiday!”
Reviewed July 12, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

My wife and I, our 13 year old daughter and 9 year old twin girls stayed here during the last 2 weeks of June. The location is perfect for a relaxing beach/pool holiday, the Playa Principe apartment building is situated right on the beach at (what we think is) the 'nicer' end of the La Manga Strip where it is a lot less built-up therefore a bit quieter, which was just what we were looking for.
We couldn't fault the apartment at all, it was clean, really well equipped with plenty of space in the living/dining area, a decent kitchen, 3 good sized bedrooms, lots of wardrobe space and it was a godsend having 2 bathrooms (especially for me, being the only Male in the family !) The large balcony is probably the best feature, it's the perfect place for dining and enjoying a few drinks, you're looking right down on the pool then you have the beautiful beach and Mediterranean Sea right in front of you, the view really is amazing, I don't think the photos on the website do it justice. Even the small balconies in both of the twin bedrooms give you nice views over the courtyard and across the Mar Menor Lagoon.
The courtyard and the gardens around the pool are really well maintained, in fact the whole complex was spotless. The pool itself was also well looked after, the bottom of it was 'hoovered' most mornings and it was constantly being topped up with fresh water keeping it really clean.
The only couple of criticisms we would have is that, for the amount of apartments in the complex, the area around the pool and gardens is not that big, also the pool isn't huge. This wasn't a big problem for us staying there in June as it was fairly quiet but I can imagine it being more of an issue in high season, saying that, you're right next to the beach so you always have that option. The only other thing is, the management are very strict on what you can and can't use in and around the pool, we could accept that the kids weren't allowed to take inflatables etc into the pool but we couldn't believe it when we were told that we weren't even allowed to sunbathe on our lilos in the garden area while other people could bring as many of their own large sun lounger beds as they liked.
We wanted a fairly quiet beach holiday in a nice apartment with a few bars/restaurants nearby and this location ticked all the boxes. The large beach next to the apartments on the Mediterranean side is fantastic and you also have another small beach about 300 metres up the road on the Mar Menor Lagoon. The Lagoon is very shallow which is ideal for small children, you can also hire pedalos, kayaks and jet skis.
You are about 1500 metres away from the stylish Tomas Maestre Marina where you will find a good selection of restaurants offering all kinds of cuisines, we found the best ones were on the Mar Menor side where the sunsets are unbelievable.
This part of 'the strip' is fairly quiet but if you want it livelier, especially at night, you would need to head down to the main part of La Manga where there is a lot more going on and you have a greater choice of bars, restaurants, shops and markets etc.
We hired a car which obviously made getting around a lot easier but I wouldn't say that it was essential, it totally depends what you want to do while you're there. We had a few days out and would recommend visiting the hot sulphur mud lakes across the Mar Menor, we took the ferry from the marina over to Santiago de la Ribera then got a taxi up to Lo Pagan where the mud lakes are. We also had a great day at the Aquapolis Waterpark which is just over an hours drive up the coast in Torrevieja.
If you need any further information while you're there you can always contact Tony & Hayley, they manage the apartment, they also live in the area so they have great local knowledge and are really helpful.
You can't really go wrong with the weather in this part of Spain, we had 14 days of glorious sunshine which made for a fantastic holiday so, taking everything into consideration, we would not hesitate in recommending this apartment and this area of La Manga to anyone.

“nice views, spacious apartment”

The views from the patio and windows of the coast were superb. The apartment was a good size and was in good nick .
However, the double bed plus the single beds was very basic and hard to sleep on. Also the sausage dog pillows were hideous to sleep on and very uncomfortable. Very cheap sheets and bedding and awful bathroom towels, which seems picky of me to say but really threadbare. Also shower doors were constantly sticking and difficult to close. Also patio furniture broken, eg chairs .
Air conditioning unit run from a meter.
The key holders said that if we used more than 10 euros of AC whilst staying there for 5 nights we would have to pay, So beware. That was not specified to us before we booked and it was boiling there . 30 to 33 degrees and humid, so we only used it whilst trying to sleep on the uncomfy beds. Restaurants by marina nearby were nice. pool empty most of the time early in sept, but apparently heaving mid summer. So all in all, mixed views.

Thank you most kindly for your feedback.

It is very difficult to deal with second-hand complaints that were not dealt within the resort and sadly and unfortunately despite our best efforts and systems in place - sometimes, things do go wrong.

Disappointingly to ourselves and despite maintenance and service and programmes being in place none of this was reported to the housekeepers to deal with during the stay.

With regards to the air-conditioning this was advised in writing in the booking confirmation that the property is fitted with a credit system , and as part of the rental period gusts are given 10 Euro’s of credit per week , if used efficiently with the temperature set to around 24f ( 78 degrees ) with all windows and doors closed this is more than enough credit to last a week, Sadly Spanish Electricity is the most expensive in Europe, we try to be as Energy Efficient and Eco-Friendly as possible

Consequently we are at a loss and puzzled by your comments, we understand that every bodies expectation are different,

Many of our bookings are from families with children with teenagers who have enjoyed many happy holidays in the apartment,

We have many guests who are completely satisfied with the apartment, alongside everything else it has to offer in providing a relaxed carefree holiday and the enjoyment that La Manga has to offer.

Ideally our standards are such, that we aim to please everyone, on this occasion no matter what the reasons, both our housekeepers and ourselves feel bitterly disappointed that these issues where not raised in the resort, we have many happy and satisfied families.

Amazing views, beautiful location, try BBQ sunset for food 20 mins walk away. The accommodation was exactly as described and very clean and has everything you need
Brilliant for small children a bit limited for teenagers but easy to travel around the strip for things like water sports and shopping - taxis reasonable and English speaking
Highly recommended
