Excellent service and situation. Very nice hotel personell and good solutions for breakfast/restaurant. The room was very clean. I'd recommend this hotel 100% to anyone, being for business or pleasure

We arrived at 3pm on a Sunday to check into the room. It was cleaned and ready to go. The room was very clean, but the cleaning solution was so strong we had to open the window and door to try to air it out. It was a very dark room in the back of the hotel. Didn't carefully read review before hand, if a view is important to you, make sure to book a room with a view. This hotel is also undergoing a remodel to the outer part of hotel and im guessing all rooms with windows in from are currently obstructed. The parking situation is not good. We drive around for about 20 mins before finding a spot in a lot about 3 blocks away. We were there during slow season, so I have no idea where visitors park when its busy season! Charming town, very quiet in the winter. The bedding, towels and pillows are adequate and the decor is fresh and simple. The view from the rooftop pool is beautiful and enclosed so nice place to take a rest and read a good book!

Room tip: pay extra for a room with a view.

I said more than I need because I didn't need nor use the top roof terrace and pool of the bar.

I was there for the night of February 18. It is a large hotel, not far from the centre, walking distance to the shops and restaurants.
The hotel was a little tricky to see, it was covered in tarps as the front elevations was being renovated. A little noisy during the day due to construction but you are not supposed to be in the room during the day, Mahon is a beautiful city!
Smooth check in nut there were some minor misunderstandings.
1. I booked a double bed, I was offered, again, two joined singles, I always detested this quick fix.
2. I booked a room with balcony and city view and I was given a balcony facing the rear of the hotel, not a pleasant view of the neighbors drying their laundry on the balcony.

Not a big deal, I was offered a street view with balcony and a matrimonial bed suite instead, a kind of waste for one person but I took it!

Hotel is clean and functional. simple. Quality furniture, with all that you need. A nice touch was the snack bar between breakfast and dinner. I found it to be much more that a "snack" bar. They had soup, sandwiches, snacks and pop.

Over all, a good hotel at a good value!

Overnight stay before our final destination.
Not our first stay and certainly not our last. Excellent and very accommodating staff, first class rooms, nice bar and restaurant. The hotel is currently going through a refurbishment which didn’t affect us at all.
Would certainly recommend this establishment, for either a long or in our case short break.

We had a lovely stay here for my 21st birthday and would stay again. 3 of us stayed in one room which was really big and had 3 double beds, the hotel is really clean and staff speak good English, our bathroom was also huge and had a big "rainforest" shower which was really nice, beds were comfy and had a big TV and balcony. We ate breakfast at the hotel every morning and they had a wide selection of fresh food (hot and cold) including REALLY good tasting fruit, pancakes, bacon, spanish sausage, lots of different types of cheese, bread and cake, potato, sliced meat, several different types of juice, coffee, milk, soya milk etc. so there was something for everybody. The room next to reception also has a fridge where you can help yourself to free food such as sandwiches, salads, yoghurt and drinks. On the top floor there is a heated swimming pool which was relatively quiet while we were there, a jacuzzi and hot tub, steam room, sauna and spa. I recommend booking with the spa - I had a face and head massage which was great. There is also a little garden on the roof with lounge chairs and you have an amazing view of the city and mountains. I want to thank Maribel on reception the most as she bent over backwards to ensure we were always happy and was so lovely and helpful 24/7. Maribel was really welcoming and asked us how we were every day, she booked cabs for us, never hesitated to answer all our questions and even helped to book a horse riding activity for my birthday. I cannot thank her enough. There was also another lady on reception (she was blonde) who was really helpful and booked a cab for us too, however I didn't catch her name - I'd like to thank her as well. We had dinner for 2 nights out of the 3 that we stayed for at the hotel bar, which I recommend as the food is really good. Kevin is fantastic and really hard working, he serves the bar on top of cooking all of the food in the kitchen for both people staying in the hotel and locals, which I found impressive. He also helped us with restaurant recommendations which was really kind of him. The only reason why I've rated the hotel 4 stars instead of 5 is because the safe in our room was broken and one of the receptionists was really rude and dismissive (we only saw her there once). My mom went down one evening as she had questions about allergens (in regards to the food in the fridge) and she was rude to her in response, she also mentioned that the cleaner had forgotten to give us fresh towels that evening, to which she responded "you'll have to re use the towels, just find the cleaner in the morning". We mentioned this to Maribel the next morning and she apologised and got us some towels from the cupboard straight away. Other than that experience, we had an enjoyable stay. (:
