“Magical is an overused word..but magical it was.”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

We were visiting from Ciutadella for the day and had just had a miserable and overpriced sandwich from a promising looking cafe. To mollify ourselves we stopped into a sophisticated little cake shop and, after buying far too many treats, asked the woman working if she could recommend a nice restaurant. My Spanish is not great, so after staggering along up hill at siesta time, we were delighted to actually find it: Ses Forquilles! A little oasis in the heat of the day. We were the only ones in but it quickly became full - even though the atmosphere, the combination of upstairs/downstairs and the service left us feeling individually pampered.

The food was incredible - truly a visual and gastronomic experience. The only thing I felt was missing was a sort of palate cleanser - a non-dressed salad or green to rest the senses and prepare for the next treat. This is my own opinion, as I don't usually eat rich food. Still, that said, I did manage to finish off the meal with lovely dark chocolate and 'toast' and coffee...really, there was absolutely no better meal in Minorca than this for us.

“Incredible tapas”
Reviewed September 25, 2012 via mobile

The informal setting disguises what really was an amazing gourmet experience. We booked so sat upstairs, which has a really relaxed, cool atmosphere. As has been previously commented the menu was all in Spanish but Raquel the waitress could not have been more helpful, we ordered too much but it was all incredible, some dishes we recognised some were more unusual but all were absolutely delicious. We asked for a wine recommendation which was €13.50 and was excellent. All in all the meal in total for two was €60, which was incredible value. This place is a must

“Worth finding - lovely modern tapas”
Reviewed August 1, 2012

Try this restaurant for modern style tapas that is served with some style. Excellent choice at reasonable prices together with superb local wine. The "chuppa" dishes are very different and the "puddings" unusual. The serving staff are very accommodating. I went with my wife and young son and he so liked it that we had to return for lunch th efollowing week from Fornells,

“Excellent price quality value”
Reviewed July 28, 2012 via mobile

We had the micuit with briox and it was so tasty, however the quantity was a bit poor. As main course we had the "lechona" and the "entrecot", both of them really good. The entrecot is from "vedella de Girona". It's a muat go place, and if we have the chance we'll come back. The friendly as well.
