some different authentic spanish ideas on the menu compared to most menus in menorca which are often too british so were quiet happy to see dishes with squid ink etc but because the restaurant was so busy, food a little cold on arrival but tasty enough. looks like dishes carried to pontoon restaurant from the main restaurant across the road. had to chase the bill. get there early as people queuing!

My husband and I were looking for a restaurant by the harbour where we could eat vegetarian. There weren't many options, but we were delighted to find that La Minerva had a whole section of veggie dishes in their menu.
We arrived early, and we were given one of the best tables: right by the edge of the water, in the corner opposite to the entrance of the restaurant quay. There was a lovely traditional boat floating in front of us, a beautiful view of the port, and fish came to eat the bread crumbles that were left over after our meal.
We totally recommend their Minorcan stuffed zucchini and their vegetable rice. Delicious!

Thank you for a memorable evening!

This was our second visit to La Minerva and was well worth it. We had a good seaside table on the pontoon and thoroughly enjoyed our fresh fish lunch. Service is efficient and courteous. Not the cheapest but worth it!

It was my sister's last night in Menorca and we all agreed on La Minerva (based solely on its location and setting) as a nice way to end a lovely 8 days. Having booked, we arrived at the allotted time and were shown straight to our table near the water's edge. Menus were provided, rolls served, drinks order taken etc. all with appropriate swiftness. We were given plenty of time to view the menus and did not feel rushed or, conversely, neglected, in any way. An amuse bouche of homemade hummus and olives arrived which was good and an unexpected nice touch. We ordered one starter of fried fish and all four of us had the fillet steak. When selecting a wine, we were undecided on whether to choose the Menorcan binifadet and asked the waiter's advice. We received a refreshingly honest opinion and a very reasonably priced recommendation was provided as an alternative (draw your own conclusions from that!). The selection of fried fish was very good (although more seafood than fish) and the steaks were exceptional - all perfectly cooked to our liking. Absolutely divine. One of our party ordered the dessert of small cakes soaked in Menorcan gin with lemon sorbet. Delicious, piquant and not overly sweet. We found the waiting staff attentive, but not overly so, at all times and, as has not been the case with other more expensive and highly recommended Menorcan restaurants, we were asked how the food was and whether we had enjoyed our meal. A very pleasurable experience all round.
