“Lovely hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2012

We have just returned from Ibiza, where we stayed at the Tropic Garden Hotel. We had a great time, the food was very good and if you thought it was a bit cool you could heat it up in a microwave sited in the dining room.
The entertainment was provided by the hotel team, and yes it was quite cheesy but we enjoyed it, we had a laugh.
The only thing we were dissappointed with were the beds, they were a bit hard, but we still slept pretty well. the kitchenette was a bonus.
The staff were friendly especially David, Antonio and Susanna from the entertainment team.
All in all we had a very nice holiday and really enjoyed staying in this lovely quiet hotel, we would recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet chill out holiday.
Book and enjoy!!

Tropic gardens is a decent hotel not exactly a luxury hotel but spacious clean apartments, comfortable bed and all apartments have balconies. Our apartment was self catering (I think they have hotel rooms as well) facing the main road - you might have to pay a supplement for pool view. Area is nice and quiet and there's a shop directly opposite the hotel. About 10 min walk along the harbour to the main town - plenty of shops etc. There's also a bus to get to the clubs which we used to get to Pacha one night we paid E40 for a taxi home no buses. We also rented a car to explore the island and found parking outside the hotel no problem

I stayed here for a week in June 2012. We stayed on a room only basis but didn't do any cooking, I think if we had wanted to we would have struggled as the kitchenette is basic but it was enough to prepare breakfast with. The bathroom was modern and clean. The maid service was really good and great care was taken in cleaning our room. The beds were quite comfortable and it was very peaceful at night. The pool area was quite busy but there were always plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. The hotel was well located and easy to get to Santa Eulalia and you could also take a beautiful walk along the cost. The supermarket outside the hotel was aslo convenient.
The staff were really friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend booking a massage- the therapist was lovely and very helpful.

We stayed in room 1103 which is a corner room overlooking the pool with an amazing sea view and huge balcony with table and chairs and two comfy sofabeds - highly recommended!! The room was large with sofabed in the living room and twin beds in the bedroom, basic kitchen facilities with microwave and hob, toaster and kettle and sink unit, very compact and a couple of storage cupboards. Bathroom with bidet, bath, shower and hairdryer plus complimentary toiletries. Everything was spotlessly clean, blackout curtains and airconditioning were welcome addditions. Maid service was 5 days a week.

We stayed on a half board basis, the food was buffet style and provided a vast array of choice both for breakfast and dinner, with cooked and cold options at each. Free soft and alcoholic drinks (beer and wine) were available freely during dinner which was great!

The staff were all friendly and helpful and the public areas were all well set out and again the cleanliness was of the highest standard. Although this is marketed as a family friendly hotel we felt the pool was not really suitable for young children having only a very small section for the shallow end and a very small paddling pool and it was lacking a play area (very small one in the kids club area). There is a well stocked supermarket directly across from the hotel and prices are similar to uk

The hotel is around a 20 minute walk from the marina in Santa Eularia, it is a pleasant stroll both during the day and at night, there is a great play area on the way too. The town itself is large and has lots of local shops as well as the usual touristy ones, restaurants are mainly on the promenade which winds around two bays and is a pedestrian zone so ideal for kids to meander along. We weren't keen on the beaches as they were quite narrow and the sea not too child friendly - a little choppy and the water was deep quite near to the shore. We hired a car and travelled to Talamanca, Es Canar and Calla Longa which were ideal.

Room Tip: Room 1103 is perfect!! Avoid rooms above or around the outside stage unless you plan on staying up t...

We returned from Ibiza on 3rd October 2012 and really enjoyed our 11 night stay at the Tropic Garden Aparthotel.
We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful without exception. The rooms and public areas were very clean and well maintained.
Although we booked half board, our room was more like an apartment, with a double bedroom and a separate living/dining area with small kitchen. The rooms were spacious and well eqiupped. However, we found the beds a little uncomfortable and we had a few issues with the Air Con. It worked fine at the start of our holiday, but packed up with about two days to go. We reported this to reception, but it had not been sorted out when we left. This would have been more of an issue had it been during peak season. We also found the amount of wardrobe space for hanging clothes very limited, but we managed.
We paid for a room with a sea view and the view we got was stunning, although if we stopped at this hotel again, there were rooms that are similar to ours, which had part sea/part pool views. One of these would have been better in my opinion.
The restaurant was quite spacious and clean, and the food was acceptable. It is always difficult to satisfy everyone when the hotel is catering for many natonalities and although everything wasn't to our taste, we found something we liked every day. The food seemed to always be fresh and well presented with a reasonable choice. The main criticism we had with the restaurant as mentioned in other reviews, is the time that the evening meal is served. The restaurant did not open until 7.30 pm, which we thought was very late if you want to go out and about after your meal. It also creates a bit of a frenzy, with lots of people trying to get fed at once.
The pool area is well maintained, with a large pool and plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. The pool-side bar is open daily and is ideal for guests who have booked all inclusive to get refreshments during the day.
My partner and I do not usually bother about the hotel entertainment, preferring to have a walk out in the evenings, but from what we saw, it was more geared to children.
The hotel is located about 10 to 15 minutes walk to the marina in Santa Eulalia and the beach is another 5 minutes further. The town of Santa Eulalia has a nice promenade, with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. In our opinion, it is one of the nicer resorts on the island.
All things considered, I would recommend this hotel and would definately consider stopping here again if we came back to Ibiza.

Room Tip: If we booked again, we would go for part pool/part sea view and get the best of both worlds. These r...

this hotel i would not describe as luxury but it holds some quality features that some top quality hotels do such as having large grounds and it feels very spacious the restaurant is aslo well laid out and the food is of very good standard but there is often few staff on the main bar in the entertainment area and in a bit of a isolated area of santa eulalia so yes i would recommend this hotel for maybye a 7 night or 10 night stay but i would feel that a 14 night stay will get a bit boring in this hotel.

Room Tip: ask for a room above the ground floor as the corridor was always soaking wet with the sprinklers

We were on holiday here for a week and they messed up on our arrival, at this point we had to stay at La Cala for 1 night and when we checken in the next day at the Tropic Garden we were given an upgrade to all inclusive, we couldn't have been happier, we stayed in room 1237 and the views are utterly amazing and my pictures will show that. I would completely recommend this hotel and can honestly say you will not be disappointed, only negative, squeaky beds, but that is pretty minor, food at breakfast, lunch and dinner can only be described as wonderful, superb selection for all eaters, get booking!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a pool & sea view, you will not be disappointed.
