“Wonderful location!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2011

Have just had a week's half board holiday and could not really find anything to fault, the restaurant was air conditioned with a wide selection of tasty food catering for all.
Had a room at the rear (as it was a last minute booking) but had views over countryside due to location of room on top floor.
Hotel is only a few feet from safe beach and at quiet end of impressive promanade which is completely traffic free.
The cleanliness of the hotel and it's very pleasant helpful staff could not be faulted.
Don't normally holiday in same place more than once but would not hesitate to return both to hotel and Santa Eulalia (which was spotless and possibly one of the nicest resorts I have been to.)

Room Tip: Try and get sea view room as cooler than the back.

All we can say about this hotel is its value for money. The location was excellent, the view from the front of the hotel was fantastic looking onto the beach and the Med.
The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly.
We did have concerns before we arrived about what we had read about the restaurant food, this wasn't an issue. The food was similar to most hotels we have visited over 20 plus years with a good choice, typically done in the Spanish way. The breakfast was one of the most enjoyable I've had in past years.

I read most of the reviews on Trip advisor before we went. Those that came down hard on the hotel should have checked it star rating first!.
It is in a great position, right on the beach at one end of the resort. It takes about a 20 min stroll along the front to reach the centre. We found the staff friendly & helpful, The food wasn't bad The hot food could have been hotter & the cold food needed a little more defrosting sometimes, we would have been bored with the foodwe had stayed another week, but for 1 week it was ok. The room was very clean & the bedlinen was good. The bathroom was tired & the towels were a little old. The room was cleaned & new towels supplied every day. It was good value for money
Tip: Donot post your cards in the post box in reception it took a whole month for it to be collected!

We went the first week in May and there was a medieval festival in Ibiza town weekend 6-8 May. This was excellent! well worth the visit! Locals dressed in costume, a market in the old town even Geese being herded up the main street in the old town.

Stayed at this hotel as a last minute resort as other accomodation fell through. The location is fantastic and having been to Ibiza 6 or 7 times the location can't be beaten. You are directly on the beach and all the restuarants etc are a walk along the front (about 2 mins) The pool was great and although there were no loungers around the pool i preferred it as it was less crowded. I was half board and am a fussy eater but did enjoy the selection for breakfast, did not use the restuarant in the evening. The room was clean and well presented. There was no air conditioning and therefore it was hot at the night (but is expected as it is a hot in Ibiza especially in August) The staff are helpful and on the day of checkout we were provided with a room to shower and change in at the evening as check out was at 10am. I personally don't always like hotels swarming with children but never felt they took over the place. Would definately go again and would recomend this hotel if only for the location!

Room Tip: Have to pay extra for a seaview

This is a good 2 star hotel, popular with an older clientel where for the price of self accomadation you happen to get half board.
The staff are lovely and the rooms cleaned daily and if you are prepared to pay 30 Euros per week extra you get a very nice sea view.
The food is the usual salad, fish type of thing with chips and pizza on each night for those who eat that type of food.
Santa Eulalia is a classy resort and still has a Spanish aura about it.
The full island tour is recommended. Though pricey at 42 Euros you do get to see a great deal of the island.
There is a place about 50 metres to the left of the hotel called Mariners which has entertainment on most nights with tribute bands.
Conclusion. You get what you pay for. Don,t expect 4 or 5 star for 2 star prices.

Room Tip: pay for the sea view

Having read mixed reviews we were not expecting too much. This was a last minute booking and having stayed in Santa Eulalia before, we knew the location of the hotel which was the main reason for choosing it. Brochure said all rooms with sea view, and to make doubley sure we included this on our booking as a request.

On arrival, given two rooms at rear. No sea view. No chance of moving as all sea views taken. Room at rear overlooked road and hotel bin area. Bins collected early and noise from road made for interupted sleep; that was when you could get to sleep. No aircon, but we knew about, but thought a sea view room with a good breeze would have been ok. Room at night, even with a fan, really uncomfortable.

Room was basic, and dated,(again was expected), but was clean.

Food! Well, we did expect limited choice, but it was mostly of very poor quality, with a limited choice. Breakfast bacon was worst ever, and fruit juice more like sugar water with a slight colour. Eggs not cooked. Dinner was very poor with some food completely un-identifiable. Never seen so much left on plates. Needless to say, after first day we ate out, regardless of cost.

I know this is a 2 star hotel, but really, that is no excuse for the standard of food.
Hotel may just be bearable if you get a sea view and have a cast iron stomach. Still, you pays your money and takes your choice. Good luck!
