We booked this holiday through our local Thomas Cook shop in Hythe, Hampshire. Karen, our agent, knew we wanted an adult hotel, peaceful and relaxing with good food, and that is exactly what we got. Even better we were able to fly from Southampton Airport which was fantastic. On arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink and shown straight to a top floor quiet room which again we had requested. Room was good size very clean and over looked the pool. The restaurant had plenty of tables, although some of them are very close together, and you choose where you want to sit and your waitress will fetch your drinks. Food was of a very good hotel standard and you would have to be very fussy not to like it. At breakfast they even catered for lactose intolerant people like myself in providing special milk, brilliant. Drinks at the bar were generally cheaper than in some of the pubs and restaurants downtown and the measures are very generous. However the bottled water at the hotel was really pricey so we used the supermarket literally outside the hotel enterance. Restaurants in town are fabulous. The service is great, places are clean and the food is great. We have had worse meals in places in this country. Reception staff are always on hand and very helpful. Hotel is spotless and very relaxing. Just a few things to make note of. The pool is very small and there is limited space with regard to sunbeds. Despite the hotel leaving notices telling guests not to reserve sunbeds with towels and then go off for the day, tis did happen everyday during our visit and is a problem. Come on management deal with it. Space between the sunbeds is non existant and you are virtually sitting on your neighbour!! That said, the beach is a 3 minute walk and you can hire sunbeds and a parasol for the day at 15 Euros. Entertainment is very low key at the hotel but downtown makes up for it. There is all sorts from pubs, bars and restaurant music. The Thomas Cook rep was virtually non existant as well apart from from dropping us off and the welcome meeting, but reception staff make up for this. All in all, would definately go back no hesitation. Ask for as top floor room with a pool view and enjoy!!!! Thanks again Karen Thomas Cook Hythe.
