We stayed the last week in June, and chose this hotel for its adult only category. Yes the average age is 60+, but that is what we expected, and certainly preferable to loads of teenage clubbers!

Negatives- plenty of sun beds ( yes, towel reservation is a problem), but not enough umbrellas, which meant that it was difficult to find shade if you don't like the all over creosote look.
The walls are thin, but perhaps we had considerate neighbours as it wasn't a problem for us.
Entertainment not brilliant, so went out for a drink on a few evenings.

Positives - great choice of food for both breakfast and evening meals. Food available at poolside bar, although a bit pricey. We had to wait for our room to be ready (arrived about lunchtime), but were given a sea view which was fantastic. Staff friendly and helpful. Location easy walking distance to marina and town amenities, it is a lovely area to have a mooch around. We went on the land train and saw part of the island, and also got the ferry to Ibiza Town.

We wanted a nice relaxing holiday in the sun, which is exactly what we got.

Stayed for 10 nights in July half board. The hotel is not the best looking in the resort infact its quite ugly! However, inside the hotel it was fine; albeit a little dated!

Our room was very clean and the added bonus of a fridge and free safe was much appreciated. Although I don't know why they don't inlcude free WiFi; it would be a nice touch; but not a major issue as you can find FREE wifi in the report if needed. The bedroom itself was a little 'snug' around the end of the bed and dressing table; however there was plenty of storage. Again, bedroom and bathroom were a little dated and could do with a overall/update - they need to get rid of the orange bedding and curtains..so 1970's! Cleaner came everyday; no complaints there. Walls were a bit thin; but not a major issue for us; we were at the end of a corridor.

The food in the hotel was very good; plenty of choice and variety. DIning area was large and spacious; you could even sit outside to eat - although mornings were a little hot in the sun! Dining outside in the evening was lovely. Drink prices in the hotel were quite reasonable compared to other hotels we have stayed at; a bottle of house Rose around the 8-10 euros.

There were plenty of sunbeds; it was never a issue to find one but they could do with a few more parosols for the grassed areas though. Some people were out at 7am putting their towels out to 'reserve' their sunbeds; quite sad really! The grassed areas around the pool area could do with a little 'TLC'. However the pool area was lovely and so peacful with no children!

Staff were very polite and pleasant; especailly the cleaners, always smiling and seemed happy; although one waiter in the restaurant as a bit grumpy at times; but it added to our amusement!

The resort is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel; with a lovely marina. There are plenty of bars and resturants in resort. Drinks were generally reasonably priced in the resort; some bars offered special offers on certain drinks - so there was always a bargain to find! Santa Eulalia is a nice 'adult' and family resort; we never saw any stag or hens or crowds of youths with too much alcohol on board. So I would highly recommend the resort to anyone; apart from 'clubbers' of course!

Old Ibiza town was lovely and worth a visit; we took the sea ferry to the town; however at 18 euros each we thought it was quite expensive. The boat was quite crowded on the way there but on the way back it was much more enjoyable. Your could purchase a beer on board too. Trip took about 45 mins each way.

It was a lovely holiday; SAnta Eulalia is such a beautuful & peaceful resort. Overall the hotel is great; as I said before the food and cleanliness in the hotel were excellent. So if you don't mind things a bit dated and orange you will love it!

We stayed 6th July for one week. We had stayed before, but some years ago and were interested to see if it had changed. To be honest, the real reason we chose this was because it was considerably cheaper than the thomson gold hotel next to it where we have stayed quite a few times before, but thought we would try the Sol Ibiza as noticed it was adults only. We have only good things to say, and had a fantastic time. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Having read some of the previous reviews about lack of sunbeds and the age of guests being on the whole very elderly, we did not find any of the negative comments at all true - I had my 50th birthday (unless that is considered elderly :-) whilst there (thanks so much to the hotel for the suprise champagne and chocolates left in the room for me, a lovely touch), and would say that the guests ranged from 20's upwards. This is a very relaxed hotel though, quiet, and not one if you want more of a party scene! For us it was bliss being adults only, and certainly makes for a chilled atmosphere. Dining area was fab (loved the chilled out background music) and this was by far the easiest hotel dining experience we have ever had on holiday - you usually have to fight for a table or are 6 inches away from the next person, or even worse, have to share a table!! Food was lovely(loved the smoked salmon salads and fruit tart/pie) and bottle of house wine was approx 8.5 euros. A couple of days before arrival, I emailed the hotel asking for a high floor end room, as advised by some other reviews, and the hotel very kindly obliged (again, many thanks). Previous comments saying the walls are paper thin, we did not find at all.We were not kept awake at night by any noise, and there were no noisy loudspeaker type organised entertainments during the day, which was perfect for lounging and reading a book. More than enough sunbeds to go around. We will definately return again in 2014, and I have already recommended this to my colleagues at work. One final point - this is set behind an area of pine trees, which we thought was beautiful, and is only a 5-10 minute walk to the lovely marina. Excellent value and overall a lovely hotel.

Room Tip: high floors have fantastic views, ask for floor 7 as long as you dont mind waiting for the lift each...

Just returned from a 10 day trip to the Sol Ibiza and we had a wonderful stay. We have been to Ibiza many times and know of the hotel but have never stayed there. On arrival, we were greeted by pleasant staff who were very helpful. Our room had the most fabulous view right on the front looking out to sea. After reading previous reviews we were worried about noise from the adjoining rooms but I can honestly say we only heard low voice noise in the bathroom along with the shower being used and the hairdryer. We were on a B&B rate so cannot comment on food in the evening but breakfast was fantastic! There was so much choice, we didn't know where to start. Each day, whatever time we went to the dining room the quality of the food was the same - all fresh and delicious. There is a chef who will fry eggs and prepare an omelette if you wish. I even saw a chef preparing a pan of porridge for a couple on a few occasions. The pool was nice and warm and empty first thing in the morning when we had our swim. There seemed to be lots of sunbeds available when we were down there in the morning and they didn't seem to get snapped up as quickly as at hotels where there are families and children. I can't advise on how the hotel was in the daytime - e.g activities or bar snacks etc as we had a hire car and were out each day but I do know that when we return to Ibiza next year this hotel will be high on our list when choosing.

My partner and I arrived for a 10 night break on 8th July. In advance I'd e-mailed to ask for a high floor with an end room as I'd taken on board other holiday-maker's comments from Trip Advisor. I promptly received a response, and true to their word we were given a top floor room (3rd floor in this block, but still high enough) and end room. The receptionist even rang us 5 minutes after we'd got into the room to see that it was ok for us - 10/10 for customer service here.
The hotel reception is very plush so first impressions were good too. Our room was lovely, extremely clean. The balcony was quite small but adequate - note that the sun where we were (room 348) does move away at around 12:30 - but obviously the hotel cannot help that.
I was quite anxious when reading that there seems to be a problem with getting a sunbed as people were reserving them in advance (always a problem isn't it!!) - however, please note that while you'll struggle to get around the pool unless rising early (due to people reserving sunbeds in advance!!) there are ample available around the hotel, which in my opinion is nicer anyway - the views around the back of the hotel are AMAZING. So don't worry, there are plenty of sunbeds for all.
The food was excellent - restaurant large enough and airy - great choice of food and all well presented. 10/10 there too.
ALL of the staff are extremely highly trained in customer service - very pleasant.
My only negative comments are re the prices of soft drinks. We had a meal in the poolside café one day (it was lovely too and quite reasonable) - BUT for two draught cokes it was almost 10 euros. When I queried this I was told this was because we had 2 pints (we didn't - they were around 2/3 pint plastic cups) - now that's extortionate.
So that put an end to us drinking around the pool (a pint of lager would have been cheaper).
Also, as we were due to be picked up at 16:00 I asked if we could have the room for an extra two hours, until 14:00 - I was told this would cost us 50 euros - again EXTORTIONATE!!
However, this didn't really detract from a lovely holiday in a fabulous resort, lovely hotel ran by top class, well trained staff. Not cheap (the holiday cost us around £1700), but all guests were well behaved (think Alicante rather than Benidorm) so, to me, it was worth paying the extra for a better class place.
Well done Sol Ibiza - get those prices of soft drinks lowered and you'll have 10/10 all around.
Enjoy your hols..............

Dear Allison A

Thank you for your review and for your comments. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay, especially the customer service, the room and the food also. Thanks for your 10/10 in these areas. Just by way of information, all drink prices are publicly exposed on the Hotel´s Bar price list. Double soft drinks are served in a bigger glass and cost twice the price. A late check-out between noon and 6 p.m. will incur a € 50 charge. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon.
