Description: Simple Servings of Local Flavor. The menu del did at la Parrilla del Pilar serves tasty and economical local cuisine rich in pork. We samples grilled pork chops and a pork steak in pepper sauce. Both delicious. With two meals, the congenial staff three in a bottle of full bodied red wine, gratis. It's a simple, family restaurant well worth a try.

We ate at this Resturant twice on our stay and would recomend if you want typical Spanish fare with Tapas or Racines, good beer & wine and service with a smile set in a delightful courtyard. Not top of the range but good value, (set menu, gambas, steak & dessert for 12Euro, how do they do it?).

Charming and very friendly manageress. Value for money outstanding. Food very tasty and well presented. Bottle of wine was included in set menu 12 euros! The only slight mistake was the red wine was a little too chill.

Don't be fooled by the facade from the street: walk through the bar to the large hidden courtyard at the back. A wonderful setting for drinks, tapas or an evening meal. Sheltered from the breeze now that the autumn is here and nights turning a bit cooler. Tapas and set-price menus both good value.

The set menu for 12 euros per head is a great deal. Choice of prawns, mushrooms, melon to start, followed by lamb chops, pork chops, grilled chicken for the main. It's simple fair, served with chips and chilli sauce but well-cooked and tasty. For pud you can have icecream or mousse de chocolate, followed by coffee. The outside terrace (at the back of the restaurant) is a lovely, cool spot with a nice atmosphere. Service is friendly and laid-back. The price includes half a bottle of house red per person and if you don't drink that they make a small adjustment to bill to take that into account.

The menu del did at La Parrilla del Pilar features tasty and economical samplings of a local cuisine rich in pork. We selected grilled pork chops and a pork steak in pepper sauce. Both delicious. With two full meals, the congenial staff threw in a bottle of full-bodied red wine, gratis. A most satisfying experience at a great price.
