This friendly and welcoming restaurant sits amongst a number of others along the riverside of Alvor. Like many others, the staff are on the street trying to entice you in. What made us stop was the gentle but enthusiastic description of todays catch, and the fish on display. We were not disappointed. The sea bass was perfectly cooked, fileted at the table, and a joy to eat. All the fish is weighed and you are told the weight (and shown the fish) inadvance. If you don't likethe look of it, or you want to change your mind, just tell them; the'll help you choose something else.
This late in the season we sat 'inside' what started as an open area was soon enclosed in sliding glass pannels that let in the light but kept the early evening chill out. (On leaving, look out for the living statue; he was good entertainment from our frontrow seat and very polite when one dropped a couple of euro in his box).
