Spent a week in Alvor sampling the local cuisine, but come Friday fish, chips and mushy peas was the order of the day. Being a Brit I know my fish and chips and have to say it was fantastic value for money and the best fish and chips i've had for a while. Service was exceptional. Thoroughly recommend.

Their speciality once a week is fish and chips and mushy peas which sounds like tourist trap but is very well cooked in keeping with the rest of the food. When we were there only half of the tables were occupied yet service was slow. it was worth the wait for the obviously freshly cooked food but if you were there on a fuill night and in a hurry you'd be out of luck. There is a sister restaurant in Lagos which has been there a lot longer.Well worth a try for the food alone and the friendly staff but have a drink and relax.

I used No Patio several times last year, and again this week. it is set just outside Alvor close to the Alto Golf clubhouse (not on the Alto country club side.) There is a both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside is a bright modern space, with a super modern European menu, which makes a nice change from the repititon of the traditional Portugese menus. The kitchen is a feature and it is good to see the staff preparing the food in a fabulous gleaming space.

Staff are delightful, and the quality of service, food and presentation are excellent. I am told the Sunday lunch is very good, although I have not tried it. . It is nice to find something a little bit different, and I really can recommend this one.

A small friendly place where Martin the owner will greet you warmly, if he's not to busy in the kitchen. The food is european but mostly english, although he was changing the menu about 2 days after we were there. Everything we had was above average, not out of this world but happily recommend and say enjoy. 60 euro for 4 courses and a bottle of house wine, I'd happily go back for more.

After a rather poor review following a meal one evening last June, we decided to try a Sunday dinner this time, as several neighbours had told us what a good lunch they had had. Glad to say, both of us really enjoyed our meal today. We hadn't booked but were made welcome near a nice woodburner stove (it was a bit chilly outside). Ordered the chicken pate and beetroot galette to start, and the beef rib for the main course. It was very flavoursome, not overdone, and the vegetables, runner beans and red cabbage, were just right, not soggy. Good Yorkshire pudding,, too. Creme brulee and citrus pancakes were well accepted, and the coffee was very good. Priced very reasonably, and we will certainly go again. Service was efficient and friendly. At the risk of sounding picky, it would have been nice if the ginger biscuit that came with the creme brulee had been a homemade one rather than a supermarket variety. But hey, that's not too serious, just saying.. Recommended .
