We really enjoyed our walk every morning along the boardwalk. It is well maintained and takes you right to the entrance of the port.

The boardwalk is one of the most important things in Alvor.
We had many a beautiful walk and pit stop in many of beautiful little restaurants that dot the boardwalk from the Marina to the rocks.
It makes Alvor very accessible for all age groups

This is a lovely long boardwalk suitable for running and walking. Also very buggy friendly.
The beach is huge with lovely sand and even in high season it never appears busy. Popular with both locals and tourists. Found the waves to be exciting and also safe as there is a lifeguard on part or the beach. Not baby friendly though. .
