Geiranger have done an excellent job of creating a walkway and interesting staircase alongside this magnificent set of waterfalls, that passes through the town to the Fjord below.

This is a must-do when visiting Geiranger

The best think to do when you only have a short stop in Geiranger. It's well worth the effort to walk up the side of the waterfall as far and the visitor centre and then return via the church. There are some amazing views which you can appreciate even when it's drizzling as the countryside is so green.

We walked up to view from the top- a lot of steps but so worth it!
The stairway is staggered so you can walk as much or as little up- but I would go to top- worth the effort and can then have that hot choc and slice of cake from the choc factory lower down!
