Saw the Seven Sisters waterfall from a ship while sightseeing Geirangerfjord.
It had a very fancy name and story behind it - but the waterfall itself is not very impressive. We couldn't even see all 7 sisters- only 4. Maybe it's more impressive when there is a stronger flow of water.
Well worth getting up early to see the Seven Sisters as we sailed into Geiranger by cruise ship. Very peaceful.
it depends on the amount of water, I only saw 4 sisters... you have to take a boat to sees it, its nice, but there are beter waterfalls
After a short distance from Geiranger comes the waterfall on the right side. The name of Seven sisters comes from the fact that there are seven waterfalls side by side.
These weren't the most impressive falls we saw during our visit but certainly it was unique given the various strands of water. As another reviewer or a tour book said, be sure to see these falls early on in your Norway trip, because they won't seem so impressive after you've driven around Western Norway and seen amazing waterfall after amazing waterfall!!
