“Wonderful restaurant, atmosphere, staff, and food”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

We were staying nearby at the Villa Il Poggio, also in Sinalunga when the owner referred us to this restaurant telling us it was excellent for pasta and meat dishes. We went with another couple staying at the b&b that had already gone the night before as well. We were certainly not disappointed. This was a quintessential small town Tuscan restaurant filled with locals and reservations (made by the b&b owner on our behalf) were essential.

We met many members of the family run restaurant including Nonna who brought us a free appetizer to try out. We also tried out a couple more starters and some pasta as entrees. All of it was delicious. We also had some dessert and then they dropped the bottle of home made limoncello on our table so we can server ourselves as much as we'd like which I've never had done before at any restaurant. On the way out we sat on their patio with one of the family members, where they poured us a drink and we chatted for a little while. Amazing little place with a great atmosphere and one of our top restaurant experiences of our 2 week trip in Italy.

“Simplicity & Nonna”

Trust Nonna's picks and tuck in with the locals for an authentic and earthy Italian meal. You won't bust your wallet and won't leave hungry.

“Pleasant surprise”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

We were looking for a restaurant near Sinalunga, and fortunately we were close to this one. La mamma came to talk to us and gave as very good advices. Great food, with a very nice dessert at the end (panna cotta, cantuccini with vin santo). There we also took some good advices of places to go next (including a visit to a cantina in Montepulciano).

“Excellent breads”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

We came here for dinner based on recommendations from Siena House. The bread served was warm, fresh and excellent. My toddler loved snacking on the bread before dinner time.

The restaurant looks like a romantic spot but welcomes children. Our toddler was coo-ed over, patted and generally received lots of attention.

Excellent service and food, would definately recommend it.

“I'd move to Sinalunga just to be next to Forcillo”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

A must! Its worth taking a flight to Italy just to dine at Forcillo! The food is divine. Even the simplest dishes are bursting with flavour. They managed to make one of the most boring desserts - panna cotta - one of the best desserts I ever had, anywhere! Freshest, best tasting ingredients + traditional recipes + 3rd (or even 4th) generation owner (Fabio) who takes pride in his establishment = Forcillo.
