We stayed in Borgo di Fontebussi for two nights during a wedding in September 2011. We had the room in the tower, which is basically a 3-level studio with a small balcony with stunning views. We arrived late and had a friendly welcome by the staff, which even allowed us to use the pool although it had officially closed already.

The beds were very comfortable. The room was clean and had internet (charged). Prepare for small bathrooms though.

Breakfast was very nice on the terrace in the morning sunlight. The buffet had a decent selection of Western breakfast items.

Room Tip: The room in the tower is very nice for a couple. However, it comes with a price.

As long time visitors to Italy (family) we found the Borgo di Fontebussi beautiful to stay at. The cuisine is excellent, the Chianti villages are all close by and Siena is less than an hour away (by car). It's isolation is desirable and the quietness of the complex (September) was great. Definitelty a keeper and we recommend it whole heartedly.

Borgo di Fontebussi is perched high in the hills of Tuscany, overlooking vinyards and olive groves and small villages. The panoramic view is absolutely breathtaking. Six of us stayed in the Begonia cottage, a three-floor, three-bedroom apartment that was oh-so clean and roomy. The staff was so accommodating and helped us arrange a winery tour, dinner reservations, and a cooking class, taught by the resort's chef and sous-chef, among other things. Everyone who worked there seemed to enjoy it. I would return to Borgodi Fontebussi in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Borgo di Fontebussi is in a perfect location for taking day trips in the Tuscan countryside.

Fontebussi is in a beautiful location. The rooms are fairly small but the bathroom is nice. Airconditioning doesn't seem to work all that well. YOu have to pay extra for wi fi which is kind of a rip. Not only that but it doesn't work in your room. The breakfast was nice. Marco in the restaurant is an exceptional waiter and did all he could to make us happy. It's the little things this resort needs to do to become exceptional.

We were very happy with our accomodations. We had a little villa with a lovely patio area to enjoy the sun and the scenery. We woke every morning to birds singing and a view out our bedroom window that was to die for. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. The place exceeded our expectations and is very accurately portrayed by their photos. Its a good location to drive around Tuscany or just to sit by the pool and relax. We would love to go back again.

This is an amazing place, I have never stayed anywhere like it. The location is a bit hard to find (be sure you get detailed directions, and a map) but once you get there, you think you are in heaven. The views are spectacular, and exactly what the pictures on the website show. Our room was large with a comfortable bed, but the lighting was not that great for reading. The restaurant was very good and the food prices were very reasonable. They do close at least one night a week, so you need a car to go to other places for dinner. I went swimming in the pool, which is also very beautiful. The whole place is amazingly clean. The service was very good both from the reception staff and the restaurant staff.
