I have spent 3 nights at this nice hotel with my boy-friend and another couple of friends. We had great time! Lovely place, lovely staff, lovely balcony with sea view, great breakfast, free wi-fi in the common areas, good dinner at honest price (25 euros - all inclusive). Very close to Terasino, a small fisherman village (so typical!) with nice shops and good cafes and restaurants. Let's stay there again!

Not sure why bad reviews on this place - it was easy to find, clean, comfortable, good breakfast and supper option if you wanted it. Parking was on site and free, and it was easy to find the airport for our early flight out of PMO. The decor is a bit 1970s, but it was fine, clean and safe. Good price also, and honestly if you are looking for a place to crash and catch a flight, it is perfect. Would stay again. For those people who are so critical on these 1-night hotels, seriously? How much time do you spend in your room when you are on vacation?? GET OUTSIDE!

this is not a hotel to stay and spend a long holiday. it is ok for a nite when you want to go back home next dy. it has somehow a charme of an old las vegas hotel. needs renovation and it could be a great place. beach is like everything in sicily bit trashy .. reception woman is the friendliest i met all over sicily. very good english. if she worked in a five star place it could be heaven for the people checking in and out.

Booked the trip with Lastminute, concerned with it's proximity I was surprised by how quiet it actally was.

To be fair, it was exactly what we wanted for 4 days- we dined out every night and didn't partake of any of the hotel kitchen offerings apart from breakfast - which while breakfast wasn't too spectacular was ok.

The hotel receptionist in the evening was really pleasent, a vast contrast from the day hotel receptions which were quite unpleasant and didn't come across friendly. She definitely spoke better english that we did italian. Humour may have been lost in translation!

One recommendation is not to take up the hotel on the beach passes. If you wish to be crammed with everyone and their friend well then it's straight up your alley. This is 6 Euros and is a 10 minute walk from the hotel along the main road. I would suggest a much quieter pleasant beach right infront of the hotel which is called "La Rosa del Venti" offered everything and was 5 euros a beach bed.

Next time we will booking a Villa...

First of all if you want to stay near the airport you don't have to endure this dump. The hotel Florio is about 200 meters further up the road and outstanding by comparison.

On arrival we rang the service bell for about 10 minutes to get some service at the front desk. After the formalities we used the elevator that's sure to terrorize the bravest in case of a fault. The first laugh you get in the room is the 20 cent bottle opener tied with a piece of parcel string to a screw in the chip wood cabinet that holds the minibar. Then there's the 15inch TV with bits missing from it. The flare red decor was probably designed by somebody on acid that has no need for sleep. The pictures are city promotional advertisements in a 2 dollar frame.

If you like noise then you'll love this place.
The walls are useless for keeping out noise, you can hear hall pedestrians, toilets in other rooms, street traffic, harbour traffic (which usually starts in the small hours of the morning) and most of all the dogs that howl and howl all night long.

The balcony is about 2 feet deep so you can't sit outside. We asked for a room with a terrace (there were 4 empty) they wanted >50% extra (from 70euro to 110). We haggled the smarmy front desk assitant down to 85 euro for the room with the terrace but still I refused it. We decided to leave and go to the excellent 4star Hotel Florio a couple of hundred meters down the road which in the end cost us a mere 76 euro per night for an outstanding stay. (I'll add an excellent review for them soon) The twit on the front desk couldn't believe that we could walk away from our money that they precharged on our credit card (no recourse) and go to another hotel to pay again. Suddenly he was "giving" us the room with the terrace and a drink at the bar (but never our money). I asked him "Do I look happy here?", "Do you think I want a free drink?". I told him to keep our money since they're obviously so desperate for it and we'll reserve the right to tell other good willing travellers on tripadvisor.com.

The crappy little minibus they use now costs 35euro to the airport - forget that and take a cab in comfort for a couple of euros more.

Good things about the hotel are this... You can leave, and the hotel Florio is just about 200 meters down the street (no I am not affiliated to Hotel Florio but they did save our vacation because man was I angry when I was done dealing with the hotel Azzolini front desk so Florio gets kudos for the good catch).

Teresini IS an amazing little town, this is my 3rd visit, but you really don't need to suffer this hotel to enjoy it's views.

The Azzolini staff were astounded that we could walk away from our non-cancellation policy booking and leave "all" that money behind but we wouldn't let this abomination for a hotel ruin our vacation and let them keep the petty amount of money.

It's shocking to think that this hotel has 3 stars. 1 star would be more realistic.

Stay here and it will suck energy out of you.

My only regret is that I got so angry that I forgot to take pictures of the sad little rooms on offer.

You won't reccommend this to a friend either after you stay here.

There are much better places to stay in the town of Terresini.

It would serve the community better as an office building.

We choose Azzolini for our last night in this trip to Sicily because of its position that we supposed close to the airport. The fact is that to go to the airport it takes 35 euros by taxi, almost same fee to go to Palermo, also there is no other way to get to the hotel by any other means (the hotel shuttle cost 35 euro as well).
The beach in front of the hotel is quite small an in the middle of the arbour, the sea however it is nice even if the beack could be honestly cleaner. The AC and fridge in the room is quite noisy. The people in the hotel was nice and helpful overall however I cannot advise this place.

We booked this hotel because we wanted something close to the airport as we had a early morning flight. We didn't expect too much but were very pleasently surprised when we arrived. I think it has recently been refurbished because the whole place was sparkling. The staff were very friendly and helpful and wireless internet access was free which made a nice change. Because we were there a bit before the start of the season the restaurant in the hotel was not open but the girl on the desk booked us into one in the village which turned out to be one of the highlite meals of our month long holiday. We had to leave for the airport at 0500 but they still provided us with a lovely breakfast.
One tip for anyone driving there is not petrol station between the hotel and the airport.
