“Wonderful house and great hosts!”

Giuseppe and Daniel made us feel at home. As much they were willing to help and share knowledge about local "secrets", as much they were "absent" if we did not approach them with questions. It was absolutely fantastic experience - being alone in a beautiful antique house, surrounded by the history and silence, at the same time knowing that if there is anything, we will be helped immediately! The place is just as described - no "small letter"... Everything is nearby - from nice beaches to late-night life in the town; and yet far enough to relax and enjoy peaceful atmosphere of a country-side quietness. A dream! Many thanks and we are really looking forward to come back!

“Gorgeous experience”

We spent three nights at the Masseria, as two families with young children. We were very comfortable, with the bedrooms, living room, kitchen, terrace and garden, so everyone had their space to do as they wished - the terrace was great for fresh fish barbecues and evening relaxation. The Masseria is situated among thousands of olive trees (hundreds of years old) and some fruit trees so it is truly between the blue sky and the green nature, with a beautiful view of the mountains and the historic town of Ostuni on the hilltop. It is also very close to the beaches by car. Our hosts Joe and Daniel were continuously accessible and kind and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed at all times and that we could have a true authentic experience of the location, which we definitely did, thanks to their recommendations, guidance and treats to local foods and other delicacies. Our children had ample space to play around and had a great time at the Masseria. Staying here is one of the best means to visit the Puglia/Salento region as the location is in short driving distance to many historic and cultural areas of the region and the house is very comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer and we will make sure to go back as soon as we can...

“A Gem!”

We were 4 adults and 3 children staying at this breathtaking Masseria for 10 days. We found the bedrooms very spacious, clean and charming. The kitchen in particular was very well equipped as we found ourselves preparing most of our meals at home. We enjoyed barbecued seafood/fresh pasta dishes while staring at the moon and stars. It helped that we also brought our own music to add to the ambiance!
The children particularly enjoyed the grounds and spent many hours (despite the presence of a TV) outdoors among the olive trees, playing with the local cats and climbing basically everything they could.
Our hosts Daniel and Joe were always available for support or facts about the region. Joe entertained us with this historical background of the Puglia region. The location of the Masseria is extremely convenient. You can reach the nearest supermarket located in Ostuni within a 10-15 mn ride (and we did so quite often!). The closest beach is also within a 10-minute ride. We recommend renting a car to make the most of the nearby charming cities such as Alberobello, Martina Franca and Lecce. Hubby is a passionate foodie and he enjoyed the local cheese and wine suggested by Daniel. The highlight was of course checking out the Saturday market in Ostuni for fresh produce, and getting inspired by local barman extraordinaire Leonardo at the Monna Lisa Caffe in Ostuni.
A personal note for all the mothers out there who dread doing laundry. Picture this: you've just washed your endless load of sheets in the machine, and you are off to hang your laundry outside in your private terrace overlooking the olive groves and the nearby sea line. As you pin each garment on the clothing line, you gaze at the horizon, taking it all in. At that moment, you just let out a sigh and say to yourself: "this is what pure surrender feels like". Enjoy!

“Fantastic Farm House”

We stayed at the Massaria for about a week in October and were thrilled with the experience.

Located just down the hill from the town of Ostuni, the Maseria (Farm House) is set in a quiet setting in a rural environment, just minutes from the town. We loved waking up and having a coffee on our private terrace overlooking the fields of Olive Trees. The bed was comfortable, the room extremely spacious and the private kitchen served our needs perfectly.

From this serene home base we had the pleasure of visiting Ostuni, Lecce, Bari and Monopoli.

“Our best holiday ever!”
Reviewed October 8, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Every year we rent a villa or an usual property (an old mill, etc). This time, we could not believe what we found! The Masseria is so authentic, you feel you are in an Italian film. Nestling in the middle of ancient olive groves, we ate fruit from the trees of our orchard, learnt how to cook like a Puglian Mamma and relaxed into a wonderful way of life. Our hosts were exceptional. Their friendly attitude was only surpassed by their professional ability. They really made our holiday something that we will remember for the rest of our lives.
Ostuni is ideally situated to visit most of Puglia, whist offering an amazing amount of excellent restaurants and shops. Once again, our hosts advised on where to go. Thank you, Guisseppi and Daniel.

“Living like a landlord in this beautiful authentic farm”
Reviewed September 21, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

With three people (a family from Holland) we stayed for 12 days in this authentic farmhouse in early September. When arriving through the authentic roads with olive groves you already get the special experience of this location. The hosts Guiseppe and Daniel gave us a warm welcome and were always ready to answer questions and to give recommendations for day trips.

The major part of the masseria is available for the guests. The large rooms with high ceilings give a great feeling of space. All rooms have windows with shutters so the temperature is pleasant inside. The building itself has been renovated but the rooms, interior and the decorations have kept their authentic details and the original atmosphere has been nicely preserved. The bathroom is upgraded to the demands of the current times. The kitchen is equipped with basic facilities and does not have the luxury of as you are used to at home, but that luxury would not fit in the authentic experience.

The terrace at the back is a great place to relax and have a meal, but you can also relax under the trees at the square in front of the Masseria. You can freely explore and walk through the 14ha of Olive farmland with its centuries old trees.

Our choice of this property was motivated by the very central location of the Masseria. Ostuni and it’s beaches are a 5 minute drive away from the masseria, there is a supermarket (or fresh products from Villanova) nearby and the highway along the coast makes it possible to visit the cities (such as Bari, Matera and Lecce) of this area within a reasonable time. The beaches with clear blue water in the nearby nature reserves such as Torre Guaceto are a must see and are easily reached. Having your own (rental)car is recommended to easily visit the highlights of Puglia.

Throughout our stay we were together with other guests invited by our hosts Guiseppe and Daniel for a dinner at the Masseria. This was a memorable evening with homemade fresh products and were able to socialize with each other. Thanks Guiseppe and Daniel!

Given our experience, we therefore want to recommend this accommodation. We have had a very great time at the Masseria!
