“Wonderful atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

We stayed for 2 nights in June before moving to our rental villa. Daniele couldn't have been more attentive and although it is not far out of Ostuni you feel you're in the middle of the countryside. Fabulous breakfast and dinner was pretty good too. Good value I thought.

We (a couple around 50 from Germany) spend one week at the end of May 2013: Our experience: great place to stay, excellent food: Cucina Italiana Pulia, nice rooms, outstanding value-for money. In a nutshell: We felt home outisde home. The stuff was very friendly, all the time. Daniele - owner and chief of service - took care about anything we would think of when travelling, relaxing, shightseeing etc. Our recommendation: great pleasure and excellent place to stay. We would like to come again. Surely.

Room Tip: The rooms near the little chapel are charming: sleeping with God's blessing. We would strongly...

This is a fantastic place. Slightly more expensive than some others in the area, but totally justified. The rooms, food, complex and service are impeccable.
Danielle is like a one-man-band - running everything the hotel has to offer, with a smile.
We ate incredible food, served by Danielle, with his folks in the kitchen(!), lounged by the pool and jacuzzi and played ping pong in the shade. So very relaxing. You won't want to leave.
Book this place, it feels secret, boutique and luxurious. Well worth it.

We had a great stay at Salinola. Be sure to sign up for dinner, as it is excellent. And the breakfast buffet is outstanding. They also sell products from the farm, including oil, wine and many preserves. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The grounds are lovely. And the hosts, particularly Daniele, are so gracious. We highly recommend a stay here and look forward to our return.

We stayed only for one night at the masseria, but enjoyed our stay very much. We had a superior room that had a steam bath, which was very pleasant in the chilly October evening. The room was very beautifully furnished, and had a very good wifi.
We didn't have the opportunity to have dinner at the masseria, but breakfast was excellent. The location is a bit to far from the town to walk there, but there are bicycles to rent. The swimming pool looked nice too, but there were very many rules regulating the use of it that gave a somewhat unfriendly impression.
But this was a minor problem, I would not mind staying at the masseria again.

I heartily recommend this Masseria just outside Ostuni, 'The White City', if you are looking to relax in a rustic setting whilst enjoying first - rate hospitality.
It's owned by the inimitable Daniele who is a charming host, and was wonderful from the outset.
Our apartment had a lounge, bedroom and bathroom, all of which were tastefully decorated and furnished.
The Masseria has a lovely pool which was delightful during the height of summer. It is set amongst the grounds and olives and limes grow literally next to the pool.
It is not essential to hire a car as Daniele offers a range of bikes to use for free, and Ostuni can be reached in just 10 minutes.
Food and wine were just wonderful, utilising produce grown on the farm.
My only regret is that we spent just two days there at the end of our first tour around Puglia, a region I have fallen in love with and one I cannot wait to return to.

We had no idea there were so many 'agriturismi' in Puglia, but this is surely one of the best. Our room/apartment was enormous and though the bathroom was tiny it had everything we needed. The 'masseria' has been beautifully and sympathetically converted from a former salt store and together with the restaurant, terraces and pool is set in the midst of an olive grove. We had not intended to eat in the restaurant every evening (we were there for three nights) but the food was so good we couldn't resist! And the breakfasts were fantastic with a huge choice of sweet and savoury items. Salinola is ideally situated for visiting the many historic towns and villages, as well as the coast, in this part of Italy.

Room Tip: If you have mobility problems mention this when booking as not all rooms/bathrooms are easily access...
