We chose the Masseria because we're in the process of buying a property near Ostuni and it's well placed, halfway between the town and the coast. Oh, and it's cheaper even than basic hotels in the town.
It's a revelation! Beautiful grounds, a character building with arches and vaulted ceilings, spacious, well-appointed modern rooms built in keeping with the old farmhouse, ancient olive trees, beautiful, friendly cats and dogs and generous buffet breakfasts (italian-style; heavy on the home-made cakes) included in the price. The family are delightful (though only one speaks good English); they sell their own delicious olive oil, too - the main business of the place.
We loved it. Can you tell?
