“Hotel From Hell....”
Reviewed June 29, 2014

We went to Paros for a few days without a hotel reservation. There was a lot of options to choose from the tourist booth in the port and a tourist agent recommend us this place. It was the worst stay I ever had. It was so bad that I went back to the tourist agent and I scream at him there.

The worst of all was the crazy owner. This greek rude owner was the worst person I ever met. He was not kind, he would not help you with anything and he would make a fuzz about everything possible. First, he show us the rooms available, and he insist us to take one of the rooms in the basement with a little window. I say no, and he was not willing to give us a room in the ground floor or the first floor. At the end, he gave us the room and I didn't leave (when I should have) simply because it was late and my wife was dead tired.

The location was 10 minutes away from the little town in a not that nice area but it was very quiet. We wanted peace and to relax and thats why we avoid booking a hotel in the town. The breakfast was simply awful. Nothing fresh and nothing nice to eat. It really show how cheap the owner was.

When I decided It was too much and wanted to leave, much earlier than expected, the owner make a big drama about it. He was complaining about us and telling us how rude we were with him in "his island". I was so disappointed and angry with him that I did an official complain while i was on port about him and the tourist agent. Of course, it was Greece, so probably nothing happen. Just be smart, and avoid it...

Room Tip: Avoid the Basement rooms at all cost...

Absolutely horrible! The owner is the most rude person I've ever met. Because we were young he thought that he could let us sleep in a room-stable... actually even horses have more space in a stable. The room had no window at all and was like a dungeon. The next day finally we were moved from the "cave" to a slightly better room only because our parents called to complain. The most outrageous was that he was annoyed bu the fact that we had tell our parents about the awful room he put us to sleep in

Only a five minute walk from centre of town. The pool was lovely! Insects do fly in but the pool is cleaned daily. Beautiful garden area for breakfast. The breakfast itself with rather simple but a coffee and a cake went down well daily! I must admit the toast, meat and cheese didn't look that appetising and the orange juice was just cordial rather than fresh. Our room had fresh sheets and towels throughout our stay and our room was clean. We did find the first room we were offered smelled of smoke but the second was fresh! The ground floor rooms have better views of the garden and pool, so request one of those if you can. The staff seemed a bit distant to start with but really warmed up through the week! Overall great hotel for the price, would recommend for value for money and for the pool.

We checked only one circle just because it has doors and windows!!!! :p
The only good in this hotel was that it is situated in Paroikia, with 5min walk you are in the heart of the town.
The hotel is very old, without ever been renovated. The bathroom was very small the water had not pressure, you had to bathe yourself very early or very late.
The breakfast was HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT EAT THERE!!!!! you will probably find almost nothing to eat. The coffee awful, the orange juice the same, there was not bread at all only some toast slices and biscuits!
The pool was smelling chemicals from 10 meters away, and you didn't want to get in because it had bugs and leaves from the plants.
If I paid 10€/night , perhaps I could stay there again....

Well situated close to the town centre but better in the day than at night as the street to the hotel is poorly lit and poorly paved and you have to walk past a couple of derelict buildings. The rooms are on the outside of the hotel so that to get from your room to reception you have to walk out into the street. There is not much security (perhaps none is needed as Paros was a nice island) but anyone could walk onto the corridors from the street. Staff were not as friendly as in other hotels. It felt like they were doing you a favour allowing you to stay there. The pool was nice enough but closed from 3pm till 5.30pm by which time it was in the shade of the adjacent buildings. We went down anyway and my son cut his foot on a piece of glass. Apparently a glass had broken earlier in the day and although we were told that it had ben cleared up we immediately found several large pieces and many smaller ones. Rooms look old and dated, beds were uncomfortable. It was a shame as the building has a lot of potential but it needs a lot of investment. Would not stay there again, try somewhere else.

Absolutely disgusting room, had a boot print on the wall!! Dead cockroach outside the door! Room overlooking a grubby looking car park and the location is good but you have to walk up several unlit dark, quiet alleys - did not feel safe! Was supposed to stay for 3 nights ended up staying for one night and got the next ferry out of there the next morning!!

Room Tip: Don't go!
